A friendly welcome. Sloping pitch in lovely rural surroundings. You really need to be a self sufficient unit. There is one toilet and one shower housed in a converted porta loo. It was very quiet so no queue for facilities, but no wash hand basin on site ( the owner provided an antiseptic handwash). I do prefer to be able to wash my hands. Also, nowhere to wash teeth (except at water point in field. The shower was clean but no light so couldn't shower after dark; also lacking a stool which could make it difficult for some to use. On the other hand, there was a motorhome /chemical disposal point. It was very cheap at £8 for our campervan, husband, dog and I. Super mountain biking course further down the road, excellent (and dog friendly) cafe, good walks, BBq facilities, river. In the opposite direction (1 mile) is newly created family mountain bike centre at Lanhydrock house.

Spent two nights and were very pleased with the package on offer. The owner was very friendly, the site was clean and tidy, and the charge of £8 per unit per night very reasonable. There is a single toilet and mobile shower unit, which were clean and adequate for the number on site. There is a pleasant view of the woods and a small riding school. We thought the site well located to visit either the north or south cornish coast. There are no obvious facilities close by so would assume a car/transport to be essential. Would be happy to return. The ratings we have given are 'personal' to us, as we wanted a nice quiet site and did not require any additional facilities.

A little gem of a site. If you want a quiet friendly site and want space and are not worried about top facilities then this is the site.
Large well draining field, one shower and one toilet kept clean. The site is on the lane into Cardinham Woods which has bike trails, barbecue areas and cafe.
The site is also positioned central to Cornwall as you are on the join of the A38 and A30 thus making travelling to Newquay, Looe, Perranporth etc 30minutes and Bodmin Moor 5 minutes away.
The owners are extremely helpful. Nearest caravan accessories is 10 mile away at Doublebois.

Its a well maintained small field in a lovely location with views towards Cardinham Woods. Not muddy even after heavy rain. Quiet even though its less than 1m from the A38 and A30.
Facilities for campers are limited to a single toilet, a single shower (water a little too warm!) and a tap, but these were modern and spotlessly clean. No wash basin though.
Within walking distance are Cardinham Woods and the stately home and the grand estate of Lanhydrock House. Shops/pubs etc you'll need to drive 3m to Bodmin, there's also a bus from the A38 1/2m away.
Good value for a single camper (£5 per night).
