Clean, tidy, compact site.
Some motorway noise, but soon don't notice that.
The farm shop is excellent and fully stocked.
I would use this location again.
Perfect location for access to Cardiff.
Farm animals for children and big kids to look at.

Stayed here 4-5 nights for the first time in August '17. Mutual interest in animals and Alpacas drew me to this site in the first place. Very quiet site, the M4 nearby wasn't too intrusive - and I'm not used to any traffic noise at all! Cardiff city really easy to get to and from. Various eateries nearby, supermarkets and superstores nearby without going into the city. Farm shop, absolutely fabulous! Visited different venues. Had a great time, just me, my dogs and fellow campers of course! Cardif City Centre, massive covered shopping centre as well as plenty of other shops. Will be going back for more exploring; and visiting Tredegar House again. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Only `downer' was no shower and toilet block but not really a problem. Anyway, if you're going `camping' you shouldn't expect the Savoy or the Ritz! Otherwise what's the point!

We have just returned from a three night stay at Thornhill to revisit the City of Cardiff where I grew up. The site is at the back of Thornhill farm shop and coffee shop. Lovely rural location within easy reach of Cardiff with all its attractions. Also Caerphilly with its castle is just a short drive over the mountain. The site has farm animals and donkeys in next field but all fenced off. The farm shop is well stocked. As for the site it is as expected a 5 van site with electric hook up, semi hard standings but these are all sloping and you will need chocks to level up. The traffic noise from the M4 was not overpowering but audible during our stay. This is a good site to visit the capital and surrounding area.
