This is a large site but at the time of our visit advised to pitch on one of the pitches nearer to reception, (nearer the beach anyway), as these pitches are firmer in wet weather.
Because of comments in the reviews we almost avoided the site, when we asked in reception about the so called dangers we were advised that it was not true about the 'dangers'. We did go to the supermarkets in town and it was not at all threatening.
The beach is superb and very close across a quite busy road but has pedestrian controlled traffic light crossing.
We chose to pitch to the left of reception where there was more space, but we recommend that you take a pitch to the right because there is a building between the site and town that rents out the room to various groups. The groups include Zumba dancing classes all morning and bands practising afternoon and evening until ten pm, all very noisy!
The facilities are fine, clean and regularly serviced. WiFi is available near reception but my anti-virus thingy blocked access declaring it unsafe.
There is a small shop selling all the essentials and the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The pool was closed at the time of our visit, (end of September).
We did not visit the children's playground so cannot comment other than it is a long way from the pitches being used at the time of our visit, so not really suitable for unsupervised play.
The only fault that we could find was the number of flies around, puzzling because the site is very clean and the bins were covered and frequently emptied. Reception said that it was normal for a couple of weeks at the end of the grape season.
I think that the site must have been tidied up since 2012 because the permanent 'vans all looked fine to us, the overall impression was good.

Arrived here after a long drive South to a friendly reception. Only our 3rd stop in Spain. Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities good and a small shop sells essentials with a Lidls and other supermarkets in the town. Town not great but didn't feel under any threat. This site had a lot of permanent caravans/motorhomes on it and does not do it any favours. Nice beach with a bar which is only a short walk across the road through the pine woods to it. I wouldn't spend anytime there really it was just a stop off for us although we did stay a week. Close to Portugals border

A really big site with a great number of those there being permanent or very long stay. The site is divided up into sections with several being under trees. The main part of the site in use was at the front and got the sunshine. Fairly crowded as the pitches do seem to run into each other. Then again with most pitches consisting of caravan, awning, shelter on awning, kitchen tent and car the pitches probably appeared closer together then they were.
Toilet and shower facilities were great, clean and plenty of hot water at high pressure. Small shop on site which sold basics and a site bar (no food being served this time of year). Wifi available but only in the bar. Reception staff extremely pleasant and helpful.
Approx 200 metres across the road from the site is the beach. Long stretch of sand which goes for miles in either direction. There is a board walk along side beach towards town with plenty of cafe's and restaurants situated along the side.
We were warned by site staff not to walk in the town as can be dangerous, however other campers advised they had been with no problems. Also advised to avoid streets around the supermarket as again not safe for tourists, other campers advised the same.
Overall a good long stay site where we were told 12 month pitches cost less than £2000. For a few nights we paid €15 with ehu. Good value site but does feel like a permanent site rather than a touring site.
