Just back from a fantastic weekend at billabong. Had a couple of hours waterskiing (group of 5) and have to say Les was a great instructor - very patient and managed to get all of us up and on the water! Lovely site very friendly and relaxing. Can't wait to go back

Travelled over to this site this weekend ( end of may bank holiday 2014 ) and stayed for 3 nights. This is a water sports centre, set in a lovely location with all the caravans based around the lake. I'm a keen water skier and had a great time on the lake. The residents ( seasonal caravans ) were friendly and very welcoming. The cafe was great, bacon on toast Saturday morning for a couple of pounds.
The toilet block could have been a little cleaner but that's my only niggle, great site, great location with plenty to do both on the site and in the surrounding area.

Looking forward to a nice weekend here, didn't have high hopes for the weather, it is a British bank holiday weekend after all and the weather was as expected. Awful!
However the campsite did disappoint, we had booked earlier in the year, a pitch for our touring caravan, with a pitch next door for our family in a tent. However the site seemed to be full with seasonal pitches and very few tourers/tents, we were jammed in between the seasonal pitches and we weren't even on a proper pitch. Our family in the tent were less than a metre away from the chemical toilet disposal point. On our second day another caravan was squeezed in and the porch awning was also very close to the tent (too close in my view).
The toilet block had only 2 showers for women and 2 for men, the showers cost 20p and the toilet block was not very clean, the cafe smelled very strongly and unpleasantly of fried food.
My boys weren't overly impressed with the play park, however it didn't look too bad to me, with wooden swings.
There were no watersports available as it had been fully booked, we perhaps should have booked them before arrival, but we hadn't been advised to do so, nor am I sure that you are able to.
The setting was lovely, but we certainly did not have a lake view as these were all taken up with seasonal pitches. I can however recommend the fish and chip shop in Brandesburton which was lovely after pitching up in the rain.
