We used this site as a one night stopover en route south. We picked it from the Acsi app which we find very useful. Our sat nav directed us to the site which is down a very long drive. The owner was in reception & good English spoken. As it was early in the season at the beginning of June we had a choice of pitches although some were wet & slippy after the recent heavy rain - our mover struggled a bit as got muddy on the rollers - you may struggle on some pitches without a mover due to trees. Toilets & showers clean & adequate. Fresh bread could be ordered each morning. The bar/restaurant wasn't open but the owner gave us directions & a recommendation to get an evening meal which was fine. No wifi available. It was very quite & peaceful & we got a good nights sleep apart from an owl hooting! The owner said that it was ok for us to have a walk round the grounds & I must say the chateau looked beautiful. Overall a nice calm site which we would use again.

The campsite is situated in a beautiful location within the Chateau grounds. The owner speaks good English and is extremely welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much trouble during our stay. The campsite is secluded and peaceful but offers an excellent touring base for exploring the Loire Valley and visiting many of its best Chateaux. The pitches are of varying but good sizes. Utilities eg. Water and electricity are close by. Note reverse polarity when using electricity - 6 amps. The facilities are comprehensive and excellent, well kept and clean. There is a good sized swimming pool and other facilities such as a football pitch and children's games. There is also a bar and TV room. Bread is available daily and is delicious. The site is suitable both for an overnight stay (close to the motorway) or for a longer stay. We would thoroughly recommend La Rolandiere.

Used this as a northbound stopover; found the site on the ACSI app. A pleasant site in the middle of countryside, near to Chinon and the A10. Friendly management, but no restaurant open. Local wine on sale in reception, and bar was open. Neatly laid out pitches and good facilities for a few days' stay - pool, football pitch.
The sanitaires were clean and well maintained, but quite historical. It felt overpriced at €16 on the ACSI card, as a stopover.

We arrived at this site at 8pm on a Sunday night and were very pleased that there was someone there to book us in. The pitches are a very good size as we have a large twin wheeled caravan we need a good size pitch. Some of the pitches are shaded which is very good if you have dogs like us. It was nice to be able to order fresh bread for the morning and the shop was small but well stocked. Lovely pool and games area. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Meantime on this site. I agree with all the comments made by Patmags. It is a very nice shaded site but if you pick your pitch carefully you will catch the sun as well and there are gaps to aim a satellite dish at as well if you want that. Good cycling on the very quiet roads and off road tracks around here. Pretty villages abound and Chateau country to visit. The internet access is wifi and works well from the caravan or awning which is a bonus (+E3 per day) Friendly owner. (Free delivery of mushrooms and walnuts picked in the castle grounds last night! - you don't get that in many places)
Be careful if using sat nav GPS to get here - the mapping which all GPS manufacturers use is inaccurate and will take you to another site a mile or so from here which is full of cabins and is totally commercialised. Follow the written directions or a map instead, it's on the D760 between Trogues and Noyant de Touraine and there's a big doll's house model of the chateau at the road end. Rolandiere is a more beautiful, spacious quiet place but with great facilities for families. ACSI card accepted. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for a week in August. This was our second visit in three years. The site is close to two large supermarkets (in either direction along the main road by car) and is ideally located to explore Chinon, Chenonceau and even Tours. It is quiet and safe and the shower block is good although the toilet paper can run out if the site is very busy. My kids would have spent every day in the pool if we hadn't dragged them out to visit castles. There is a rudimentary shop and you can order bread to pick-up in the morning, but mainly it is for ice-lolly's. There is a bar but I have not been there during opening hours. The football pitch and playground also keeps the kids happy if you want to stay on site and rest/read. My two kid met loads of new friends. There is a crazy golf area but I have never seen any one use it. Importantly, the pitches are big and fitted our Outwell Hartford XL, plus a tarp set-up easily. I have stayed in shaded and unshaded pitches and both are fine (especially with a tarp). The site also has electric hook-ups but we don't have a need for that so book non-electric pitches. I really like this site, it is friendly and family orientated but not too noisy and not too big.
