Please note we have been advised that the caravan site at this location has closed, and no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches, although the marina itself is still open. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

Mixed feelings about this site. Didn't see owners and had to find office to pay (at the back of a garage) and felt like it was an intrusion on the lady there. No instructions or directions on where facilities were, or walks other than 'there & back' along the riverside.

Overall, impression of the site was that lots of TLC needed. The ornamental pond was heavily overgrown, difficult to see the fish. All the path edges around the marina need strimming, and the pitch electrics are rated at 6 amp.

Toilets are clean, but no loo roll, hot water, handwash or drying facilities. On the plus side, this is the site to use if you want to get away for peace and quiet and good fishing in the marina, at the excellent price of £8 per night inclusive.

Wildlife is abundant and varied. Boat owners are friendly and chatty. All in all would still use this site again

Had my friend not already have been on site the impression given by the approach road might have made me turn back, you drive past scrap metal dealers but at the end of a long track you find a super site. We were in the garden of the owner which has areas of meadow, the birds and butterflies are a delight to watch. Met the peacocks!

Great walks for the dogs along the path by the marina which has short grass so even if it were wet it wouldn't be problem.

Owners are lovely, friendly and helpful but I would have liked a map as the facilities were some distance from our pitch but we are self sufficient so not a problem for us.

Definitely a site we will return to and may even let a few more friends in on the secret!

First time been to this cl site, down a long track but nice when you get there,

Was situated around a lovely large pond full of fish. We sat on the bench by the pond and was lovely to see pretty dragon flys flying about,

We walked to the marina to look at the canal boats.

There is a tesco just up the road, and several pubs,

The owners were very helpful, you set up and the site fees collected, they don't rush you, they gave us time to set up,

So lovely and peaceful, will visit again top marks for this site

A great site to get away from it all, even though the access road is a bid odd (just ignore it).

There is a nice Tescos at bottom of lane for food & fuel.

We pitched in the far corner next to the pond, with a tap just behind us, which the owner kindly let us connect to.

Tons of wildlife from Moorhens to bats - not forgetting the two resident male peacocks.

Plenty of trees for protection and shade (useful on a windy day).

Lots of walks both on site and off - owner quite happy for you to wander wherever you pleased - met a friendly boat cat every night on our wanders.

This is what a CL should be - value for money, away from it all and you're left to your own devices.

Wonderful!
