Great mostly level site. Great facilities.
Innovative AstroTurf on some of the pitches. Less grass etc in the awning. Very clean.
Need 50p for indoor shower. But wardens had plenty.
Extremely friendly & helpful owner & wardens when our van broke down!
Only downside is no freezer for freezer packs for picnics etc.
Brilliant village with local shop and a few pubs!
Will definitely return.

We stayed here over the Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend.
This is a great little campsite and a real hidden gem. The campsite is well maintained and spotlessly clean. However there is only one indoor shower (50p) and two hot outside showers (throwback to Covid), so get up early if you don't want to wait for your shower.
But this is a tiny price to pay for staying on a beautiful quiet and lovely campsite in the centre of Rock.
You'll find within easy walking distance a great little independent Brewery (Blunt Rock) which operates out of large shipping containers, great beer and food available, and next door to that is the Sharps Brewery Tap room, plus a lovely local pub.
Its an easy walk into Rock and the beaches at Daymer Bay, or a quick ferry ride across to Padstow.
The campsite is set out in three fields with pitches around the edge of the fields and the centre of the fields left open, so you get a lovely airy feel to your pitch. The field we stayed in was all grass pitches but I think some have hard stands.
Costs per night are good value and the warden Derek was super helpful.
We'll definitely be back

A very civilised site, decent toilet and washing up facilities.
Fairly level pitch with electric hookup. Well sheltered and quiet at night.
Only improvements I would have liked would be somewhere in the shower to sit whilst dressing, and a freezer for ice blocks. Otherwise very good.
Wardens living on site were most helpful.

We love it here!
Pitch was fairly flat and very well maintained.
Shower block is excellent and also well maintained (closed for an hour at lunchtime for cleaning). Shower was lovely, powerful and hot (temperature adjustable). 1 x 20p coin was enough for me to shower & wash my long hair. The cubicle is spacious and has 2 double hooks so I could keep my clothes dry. Outside the block are 2 wash-up sinks with plenty of hot water and a shelter over 1.
There's no reception but the wardens Ed and Kath are very friendly and helpful and both made a point of introducing themselves when we arrived and gave us all the information we needed.
We will certainly be back hence the high score, I've taken 1 point off for the following minor points:
The website is dreadful and doesn't do the site justice.
There was a dirty, disheveled & mouldy old caravan next to the shower block which looks very out of place given the high standard of the rest of the site.
I would like to see a full length mirror in the shower block.
Local area:
There's a well stocked Spar shop a short walk away and a local butcher, baker, & deli. 30 mins walk downhill is the centre of Rock with a few nice (but pricey) shops, bars & restaurants overloking the Camel estuary. You can also find the ferry/water taxi to Padstow (£2 to £4 per adult each way) and water sport operators here.
5 mins walk from the site is the Pityme Pub which does good food and is ideal for families.
Sharps brewery is also nearby selling their bottled beers on weekdays.
Padstow, Port Isaac & Boscastle are fantastic towns to visit. Polzeath is aimed at surfers & beach lovers, there's not much else there but the walk along the coastal path from Rock is lovely.

Stayed for one night only whilst touring Cornwall.
Unfortunately adverse weather (torrential rain) for a couple of days prior to our arrival, however field (which has primarily all grass pitches) was negotiable and appears to drain well.
Wardens Eddie & Kath extremely pleasant, helpful & welcoming.
Facilities as stated in previous reviews limited, but perfectly adequate and extremely well maintained/cleaned. Showers although only one per sex, best I've seen on any site.
Lovely & well appointed site, with seasonal pitches well away from touring/camping.
Rock itself, nice enough - shops, pub, garage etc. But unless your are into watersports, there are nicer places in Cornwall.
Would recommend site and will probably return.

Besides being pleasantly grassy and quiet, this site's very conveniently situated, within walking distance (mainly through footpaths) from the sandy beaches of the Camel estuary. Not only are a pub, Spar, and chip shop close by, the Sharpe's brewery shop's just along the road! We chose it as the nearest we could find (pre-Easter) for the wonderful St Endellion music festival.
Our first impression was that just one shower for each sex (20p coin) was inadequate, but in practice we only had to queue once, even when a Camping and Caravan Club rally filled the main field.
As well as increasing the rather limited facilities (a disabled toilet is mooted), an easy improvement would be the wi-fi: there's a strong signal but campers aren't allowed to use it!

Good site, just off the main road on the way into Rock. Fish and chip shop just down the road and about 1.5 miles to the beach. Local Spar as well.
Site is mostly grass with about 2 hardstandings.
Owner is very pleasant.
Electric hookup, showers and toilets very clean.
Not expensive.
Owner is developing part of site for very upmarket holiday homes, but this does not intrude.
Entrance barrier to site.
Very quiet and a good way to experience this millionaire area.
