We was recommended fosse hill by a couple of friends whos been there a while. We arrived pretty late but the staff behind the bar were friendly an were more than happy to check us in.
Its a nice little friendly park with a few seasonal caravanners that go for jet skiiing. I'm not a jet ski fan but I really enjoyed watching with a nice cold pint(good price booze).
It has a nice little pub with a small games room and sweets for kids. Food menu is more of a snacks menu. Toilets in pub are clean but there is no baby changing that made it difficult to change nappies. Theirs a little playground for kids never used it as I only have a baby.
We were in a big field with our tent spacious but no hoockup. Level ground but had a pretty bad time with earwigs (that's camping for you).
Facilities: shower block was reasonably clean takes some time to find a shower that works properly nice an hot when you do. Again hard to shower an 11 month baby so had to use a little sink that's not so easy. Round the side of shower block are 4 sinks with hot water to wash pots that are very clean.
Overall this is a good park with great access to bridlington, hornsea etc. Downside is there are no facilities for babies.
Visited over Easter 2009. Site staff were very friendly and welcoming. Pitches are small and some are not very accessible. Fortunately we were with friends so driving over each other's pitches for access wasn't a problem. Contrary to the previous review we felt that this site was geared to jet-skiing. The area around the lake/ bar (as on the website) is pleasantly landscaped but the rest of the site doesn't measure up. It took four attempts to find a shower that wasn't a dribble and the facilities could have been cleaner. The men were less critical of their facilities, although they had to get changed outside the cubicles because there was nowhere to put dry clothes. At £25 per night we felt it was overpriced given the facilities on offer
We managed to get booked in at Fosse Hill just 3 days before Easter. we were there over the bank holiday weekend we are not jet skiers but the camp site was excellent. Don't be put off thinking its just for jet skiers that's far from it. 1) The toilet and shower block was superb, locked at all times, you enter with a swipe card. 2)Very friendly staff and residents (most of the caravans are there all year) . 3) Great park for the kids and excellent pub on site. Please visit this site its beautiful. It's just 15 minutes from Brid we will definitely be coming back later in the year.
