Great little Municipal site next to a Marina with bars and restaurants.
Choice of pitches or a motorhome aire type park up. All flat on grass. Pitches good size with electric and water points between 3/4 pitches. Facilities for pitches, accessed via code, are dated but clean and well kept.
Reception hours are limited but there is a note on the door of pre-booked pitches so if not booked just pitch up on a non allocated pitch and go to Reception once open. Only problem is no access to facilities until this is done but there is a public loo adjacent to the site.
Perfect for a night or two whilst travelling.

This is a municipal site where you can arrive, look on the reception door to see a map showing vacant pitches, pitch up and pay when reception opens.
The manager was very helpful and she spoke some English. We paid €17. 40 pn including tax. There is a code for the facilities and a washer and dryer. It is right next to the mariner.
The only thing is to check your route. We actually must have missed a turn off and went down a one way road meant for 3. 5ton.
However prior to leaving we had a walk left out of the site and realised we should have come in that way. The road around the mariner is 1 way and car/small MH siize. Live and learn.
The village has a market and is very nice to look around.
There is a boat trip available from near the path onto the mariner from the campsite.

We camped at this site as a stop-over on our way back home. We didn’t check it in advance – just came off the autoroute, into the nearest town and followed the Campsite signs! This site is very well situated, on the banks of the river (which has many yachts moored), adjacent to the small town of La Roche Bernard. The town has plenty of eateries, a boucherie, Boulanger, charcouterie, poisonnerie and lots of other small shops – I was able to pick up a good selection of treaty food supplies before we moved on the next day.
The campsite is well laid out, but is probably past its prime. Not all the electric points work and the toilets and showers whilst clean were rather dark and dingy. That is the shower/loo block behind reception we were told to use – however, we noticed campers using another shower block nearer our pitch which had a keypad/code entry. We asked some other campers if they knew the code and they gave it to us. I have to say I found it rather irritating that the lady on reception did not give me the code when I booked in and told me the sanitation block was behind the reception (ie the daggy ones!) The coded showers and toilets were much better. We paid 21, 70 euros which I thought was a bit pricey, but this probably reflects the area we were in and the time of year – as in England, camp sites seem to be increasing their prices all the time.

Fantastic setting for a caravan site, right next to the marina. You can hire canoes, kayaks & motor boats next to the site, also get lessons if you haven't done it before (great for older kids). You can also cruise the river on a pleasure boat if it takes your fancy. Lovely walk round the marina with plenty of bars and restaurants & only 5 minutes walk into the town (up steep hill!). Facilities clean and staff very helpful (first hand experience as car broke down while we were there) Beware if you approach from the bridge side towards the marina as the turning is very very tight, couldn't get my Volvo with 6m van round the corner so had to reverse out and go down to the roundabout to turn round. At 22 euros a night for three of us we thought it was good value. All facilities including washing machines & tumble drier. Would definitely recommend.

I reckon the prices here at Camping le Patis (14euros pitch +4euros electricity) are a bit over the top for a site like this, but then you are paying for the position. The site is right down on the riverbank, by the yacht harbour, with restaurants and bars just a short stroll away along the river front promenade. So the situation is first class, though the approach and access is not for the faint hearted if you have a really huge outfit.
Entry to the 'new' toilet block was problematic when we were there, but maybe they've replaced the temperamental entry code locks by now. We rated these facilities as adequate rather than luxurious. The pitches are in hedged, sheltered bays for 4 or 6 on grass, and there is a separate 'aire' with harder standing for motorhomes at the entrance. There are pleasure boat cruises on the river, the old town is picturesque, with market day on Thursdays. There are beaches within 12 miles, and Vannes (25 miles) is certainly worth a visit. If you want a site in southern Brittany which is an alternative to crowded beachfront places, then this is one to consider.
