My wife and I spent a week here at the beginning of May, so that we could go and visit the Keukenhof gardens. I must say that I really liked the layout of the site, in bays of three pitches, it was private without being solitary. The staff at the site were really helpful, Thanks especially to Nadine who sorted me out after we let our car battery run flat! We did not get to try out the local bike routes, but they looked really interesting, and we definitely will next time. Bikes can be hired on site at very reasonable costs!
The site is very conveniently situated if you want to visit Keukenhof and the bulb fields, but next time we will go slightly earlier in the year!
A lovely site to stay at!

We would agree with all comments above. Very clean and quiet site. Hedges a bit too high for us but otherwise excellent.
All pitches have services and the showers look good but we don't use them. A good area for touring around but 4-5 days is probably enough to see the area.
The Keukenhof is a must even on a dull day which is all we could get. Amsterdam is convenient by train. There is a canal trip from Lisse which takes one and a half hours.
You do need reasonable weather to appreciate the area.

Overall the previous rating covers what is a very clean and tidy site. Whilst we were stayed there were plenty of people on site but no real noise at all.
Site is next to a fairly busy road but by evening no road noise. The pitches are set in groups of 3 and each group well screened by hedges which really does keep all noise down.
Toilets showers immaculate - but no soap, toilet paper or hand dryers / paper towels. Showers require tokens which you purchase from reception.
The reception was extremely helpful, supplying maps, leaflets etc and explanations as to how to cycle safely to Kukenhof.
No shops nearby and town 10 minute drive - but plenty of good shops in town and worth a couple of hours to have a look around.
On site no restaurant but there is one literally next door.
This was a perfect base whilst visiting the bulb fields and would recommend.

This is a lovely friendly campsite set in amongst the famous Dutch flower fields and woods.
The campsite is well kept and everything was clean and tidy.
Onsite facilities include Children's play area,Launderette, cycle hire and very modern heated shower blocks. We never saw the shower blocks being cleaned but they were always spotless.
The tent pitches are fairly spacious I guess around 10m x 10m. With electric hook up, but I think this is only 6 Amp unless it has changed.
There are also chalets and static pitches for hire
At the time of our stay the site was fairly busy but the noise did settle down after 9pm and almost totally quiet around 10pm, which we have found is normal on other Dutch campsites.
All the staff that we spoke to were really helpful and friendly
Within walking distance of the campsite are the beach which is about half a mile away.
The town of Noordwijk is around 2 miles away and has a variety of shops and restaurants.Again there are footpaths and cycle paths from the campsite through the bulb fields and woods.
A must see place is Keukenhof at Lisse which is around 4 miles away, they have the best display of flowers and if you catch it on a nice sunny day with a gentle breeze then the smell of the flowers is gorgeous.
All in All a lovely site in a glorious location well worth a visit. Hope to be going back here later in 2011
