Arden is a great little site. Convenient to the M27 and coast but equally tucked away in a lovely quiet spot. Entry is along a gated driveway. There are 5 speed humps which you really must take slowly, they are quite severe. You enter the site through another gate.
On the right is a grassed area and ahead is a small hardstanding area. We joined 2 caravans on the hardstanding. There is water and electric hook ups.
The owner pops along to say hello and to give an info folder which contains info about the site and surrounding area.
There are walks from the site to the coast (approx 2km each way) or you can drive there.
The chemical emptying point is a toilet behind the owners house. There was no grey waste emptying but the site owner was happy for grey waste to be emptied into the hedgerow.
It cost £16 p night but 50p a night extra per dog.
Its fairly basic, but convenient and quiet. We will stay there again.

Good CL with satisfactory facilities.
The hard standing area (one good area for 3 vans) was a little bit tight for manoeuvring a heavy van into place with other large units in position, but only because the ground was extremely wet and we didn’t want to plough up the adjoining grassed part of the site.
Good views of the Solent across to Cowes, and very well placed for Portsmouth and Southampton.
Recommended!

We had a lovely stay at Arden Mr Burrows was very friendly and we had information about site and area. We walked to Hovercraft museum from the site which was very interesting.
We also had a lovely lunch at Tichfield visitor centre. Site is ideal to visit Lee on Solent and Fareham.
It has not got a toilet or shower but is a quiet site and is not too expensive. You do have to be careful of the speed bumps but not really a problem.
Tichfield is easy to walk too and has plenty of shops and pubs.

Very pleasant site set in lovely rural location with plenty of walks straight from the site.
Good hardstanding pitches with electricity, down quite a long private lane but not a problem. Large RVs may want to check first. Will need to have your own wc etc. But CDP provided.
The owners very welcoming and provided all relevant information for the area including map for walks.
Only stayed for 2 days this time but will be returning to stay longer.

This was our second visit to this location, we stayed in September in 2010.
It is situated to the west of Lee-on-the-Solent, about a mile or so from the Titchfield Reserve and the shore, with the stunning views over the Solent to the Isle of Wight.
A peaceful site, with space for 5 caravans, well laid out with the usual facilities, no toilet or shower, didn't worry us.
Mr and Mrs Burrows who own the site have been running it for about 20 years and are very pleasant and helpful; the site is within the grounds of their lovely house, with lovely walks and fields all around.
The views are wonderful and on one of the walks we found a bench to just sit and watch the boats, yachts and commercial shipping go up and down the Solent.
Plenty of shops and the usual facilities in Lee with some lovely pubs with good food. We will be going again next year.
