 First of all although this review says we visited in 2009 we have actually stayed here several times since 2007, Mainly for weekend breaks.
Straight away on arrival you can tell that this is a big comercial site.
All the staff we spoke to during our stays were very friendly and helpful.
The pitches were a good size with enough room for our tent,tailer,car and Tarp.With water,Electric and waste water drain on each pitch.
All toilet and shower facilities were excellent with plenty of hot water.
At the main entrance to the Site there is a resteraunt,snack bar,normal bar and a couple of small take away shops.
The indoor pool is lovely and warm with a small section which leeds you out to a small outdoor pool, but we did find both pools can get crowded later in the day.
There is also a huge man made lake with artificial beach in the centre of the site with good play facilities for the kids.
It even has an obstacle course through the middle of it which involves getting on a pontoon and pulling yourself to the first obstacle.
If you decide that you do not want to go any further just hope that some child behind you has not pulled the pontoon back to them and disappeared as you can only get back to shore by swimming or getting over the obstacle course.
I cant really comment on the surrounding area as we only stayed here for a couple of nights at a time and never left the site as there was so much to do.
