 My wife and I spent a month touring around Northern Spain. We spent three nights at the beginning of June, at Camping Colombres. The staff were very welcoming.
The site is nicely laid out on tiered sections. At the time we visited, it was very quiet, with only a handful of other vans and campers. The facilities are very clean.
There is a cafe and shop, but they were not open when we first visited. Plenty of villages to visit, either a short walk or short drive away.
We liked the site that much we stayed on our return to Santander. Being towards the end of June, it was busier and I should think it could get quite packed in the height of the season.
I cannot quote on the child friendliness of the site, as we did not take any and only saw a couple on our return trip. At the time of our visit there was no playground that we saw.
There was however a pond that was quite noisy at night with the frogs calling each other.
Well worth a visit.

We stayed here for two nights before our return on the ferry from Santander as its only an hour away from the ferry terminal.
The site is well set out, the toilets and showers were very clean, nice swimming pool and bar area plus a small shop selling the essentials, in fact we felt the whole site was a credit to the owners who were friendly and happy to help. Good site
