Loved this campsite/fishery, we were not fishing, but very peaceful site and the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The cafe served delicious sausage sandwiches and other
Tasty meals, a good selection of hots drinks and small bar with a log burner.
The facilities were all you needed, clean, rustic, warm and welcoming.
A lovely family running the show and we will be going back there for sure.

Here we have found a small campsite with a big choice of fishing facilities.
The new owners are creating a well-run and friendly site, just outside Romsey.
We shall definitely return next year.

This is one of the best CL sites we have ever stayed on. The owners Ant & Mandy were wonderful in every way. We have the highest respect for them. Their bailiff John was extremely helpful, polite and courteous, a breath of fresh air.
Everyone at Whinwistle Coarse Fishery’s are so welcoming and helpful. The people that stay here are all wonderful, (you would of thought that Anthony had hand picked them).
Thank you for a wonderful break. We look forward to coming back real soon.

What a little gem in Hampshire
Excellent little site allowing us to pitch our awning within feet of the lake
All amenities you will require.
Yes you have to share them with the fishermen but they are clean and warm.
Fishing was great and an aladins cave of a tackle shop.
John and Amanda have a great venue here they were always ready to help.
We would highly recommend a visit here,
We will certainly be returning.

Love this site and have stayed on it a number of times, unfortunately not been able to get there in 2012. The owners are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The facilities whilst basic, 2 toilets and one small, but adequate shower, are always spotlessly clean.
The pitches are great and all overlook the lake, lovely setting. As its primarily a fishery you can fish from just outside your caravan if you wish and there is a well stocked fishing tackle shop on site with the added bonus of a nice cafe where you can sit out overlooking the lake and enjoy breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea if so desired.
There are nice walks around the fishery and the site is very close to the New Forest. There is also a great Ice Cream Parlour probably less than a mile from the site.

This C. L. Is quite a gem really, camp on edge of lake. Toilet and showers are in garden sheds, but kept immaculate, The owners are very nice people, always busy with the fishermen, which seems to be the mainstay of the business. Unfortunately fishermen use camp facilities and walk all over your pitch, we would go back if a privacy rule were introduced. Hopefully we'll read a review that the CL area has been segregated.
