This is a great little site with nice rural views over gently rolling countryside. It's along a quiet lane so not much road noise.
There's some hard standing and a grass and wildflower meadow, all on a slope.
It's basic but clean with one WC, a water tap and elsan point but no showers.
Ideal for a relaxing and affordable break in pleasant surroundings.
The owners are helpful and friendly too. Recommended!
Doehill Country Park is just up the road and is a good place for a walk.
There's not much in Tibshelf (Co-op, butcher's, Indian, no pub?) but this location is a good base for travelling to the nearby Peak District.
Hardwick Hall is only a few miles away and Matlock, Bakewell, Carsington Water all in easy reach.

Great view. Good facilities - great people. I will even include them as Northerners! Not because of location but because of welcome. Great site for odd night or for 2 week holiday. Lots to do around. Ground a bit sloping but there were some extra wood blocks available.
Stayed 4 nights and would happily have stayed longer.
This is a Hideaway site. It is quiet great view, lots of wildlife, squirrels, fox, Buzzards in flocks ! There are even a breeding pair of Jeeps, rare in this country ! The area seems so friendly, shops are good and we can recommend the Lotus Lounge for a great meal.
Come for a night and stay for a week.
Definitely a "proper" site not to ge missed.

This was our 2nd visit & definitely not the last. The owners Lou & Phil are Derbyshire Diamonds who make you so welcome to this peaceful, rural, relaxing site. We arrived as campers left as friends.
Campers who wish for swings, all whistles & bells etc should do more research.

Super little site.
Perfect for over night stays and weekends.
No toilet block but this is no problem for a modern caravan.
A nice little escape that is both peaceful and quiet.
What it lacks in facilities it makes up for in value for money.
Spent 3 night during august bank holiday 2014 and we all loved it.
Sometimes, a quite site like this ensures parents and the children spend quality time together entertaining each other and making our own fun, we certainly did.
Quality weekend and totally relaxed by the end of our little break.
Been twice and would visit again, a sloped field but hey, it wouldn't be camping otherwise.

Quieter little site owner met us with some eggs, no toilet or shower available not for us won't be returning. No children's facilities and site on a hill. It was a big disappointment. Electric hook ups are available. This site would benefit from a few kiddies swings or slide as it wasn't even suitable for children to play out
