Expensive for what it was. Just over 30 euros.
Decently set out. Nice pitches. Very open. Lots of good views over the river to the town.
A first class restaurant on site. Good atmosphere and excellent service.
Ablutions were fine, clean and reasonably up to date.
We used it after visiting Briere and the famous Poet du canal where the Bourgone Canal crosses over the Loire river: spectacular, and to visit Sully Chateau ( good experience. Mainly due to the amazing photographic exhibition that was on at the time).

We stayed here for just one night. It was a bit chilly and raining when we arrived for an overnight stay, so we booked one of their pre-pitched Canadian tents, which was ideal, despite being woken at 3am by a dog fight which sounded like it was immediately outside our tent! I think some owners had clearly let their dogs off the lead, hence the scrap.
There are good river views but, at time of visiting (early May) the beach area was a bit muddy. I imagine it'll be quite stunning in high season, when the sun's shining.
There are 2 x sanitaire blocks (1 was closed while we were there), a bit dated but otherwise fine. There was a notice stating that showers would be locked at 10pm, we went at 9:30pm and they were already locked, which wasn't ideal after a long day of travelling. 3 x wcs were left accessible (2 standard, 1 disabled). Loo roll was provided.
There is a apparently a restaurant on site (we didn't use it) and apparently a pool (it was covered when we were there as early season).
The staff were friendly and helpful. But, they were knocking in fence posts near reception from quite early on in the day, so we had an early-morning wake-up call from the noisy machinery. There was also some noise generated from the adjacent business premises (it sounded like they were loading boards onto a van from about 2am onwards) so probably better to opt for a pitch at the far end of the site if you're hoping for a relaxing stay.
I haven't looked at the other reviews so I'm not being influenced by previous ratings, but I reckon I'd award this site around 6 out of ten, max, based on our experience (although it was nice to get our heads down to sleep and not have to worry about pitching after our late arrival).
I think we were just unlucky with the noise disturbances. It's definitely worth a visit here and, had it been warmer, we'd have stayed for longer and explored the area a bit.

We spent three nights here in mid-July and were satisfied with the site for a short stop.
On arrival, we were asked to choose our own pitch. There were plenty with shade and they were of decent size. Only negatives in that some pitches were not clearly separated from others.
It was pretty busy being high season yet I never had to queue for showers etc. The facilities were kept clean and tidy so no concerns there. There was a small pool which we didn't use but was popular with children. It isn't a 'special' campsite but perfectly adequate for a short break.
The setting on the river bank was attractive and the town turn the bank into a beach over the summer with volleyball, bouncy castles etc available. Only issue is the river is too shallow to swim in!
There is a small shop across from the campsite and an intermarche 5 mins drive away. It is walkable into the town over the bridge (about 15 mins). The town is pretty but doesn't offer much to see and do. However, the nearby town of Briare was gorgeous and we also visited Sully which has an excellent chateau.

This was our second visit and this time, we were somewhat disappointed. The location and amenities are as mentioned by the other reviewers, although in the second toiled block only three were open for both sexes (that was for c. 20 motor-homes).
The pitches hadn't been cut for a while and the grass from the previous cut had also been left, so this meant shoes (and dog paws) covered in grass and constantly cleaning the van.
The other issue was the WIFI. Maybe we've been spoilt from other campsites that don't charge for WIFI or keep the cost down to a minimum. So 6 euros (for two laptops) for 12 hours was - I thought - unreasonable.

This was our first visit to this site and we were very disappointed. The grass had not been cut for weeks and there was only the small toilet block open which consisted of 2 unisex toilets and 1 disabled toilet and 4 showers for the whole of the site, which were not enough for the amount of people there. Also the men's urinals were broken and there was a very bad smell. We shall not be revisiting this site.

We used this as an overnight stop en route from Calais to Agde using the non toll route.
A nice big site spread along the banks of the river which had a nice beach frontage and plenty of space to play. Had a nice meal in the on site restaurant which was inexpensive and lots to eat. Did not use sanitary facilities but had a look and they were clean ( not many on site at this time though)plenty of showers, toilets and sinks. Good access onto site, bakery just up the road. Would stay again either for a 1 nighter or longer as the town of Gien looked nice.

Good flat site on two levels. Top level has well defined pitches, second level spread out along the banks of the river with good shade from trees, this river section could possibly get muddy in times of heavy rain or raised river levels. Good views across river to town centre. Excellent sanitary facilities. Pleasant walk along river to town. Crossing bridge to campsite wasn’t a problem but could be difficult for large outfits due to cars parked along the D952. When leaving the site to travel south we chose the D951 to Chatillon- sur- mer therby avoiding any town congestion
