This site appealed as it had only a couple of pitches which once booked ensured complete privacy at separate locations. We were lucky enough to have the choice of two sites on the day as one booking had fallen through.
We opted for the pitch next to the stream and didn't regret it (we looked over the Bluebell wood site but it wasn't really big enough for our two large tents).
I'm not sure what the concern of a previous reviewer was concerning small children - this site was perfect for all ages. I do however agree with previous thoughts about packing.
We had quite a bit and certainly earned our lunch with numerous trips up and down the hill to the cars. It wasn't for the faint hearted.
Facilities were also basic but advertised as such. However, it was everything we had hoped for and more, and a really good base to visit the coast and surrounding areas. Will definitely be back one day.

What a wonderful site, we had the stream side camping and was amazing, so peaceful and secluded.
The composting toilets were really clean and easy to use, and the main toilets on the farm were beautifully clean, very impressed,
The surroundings are beautiful and the owners very polite and kind.
Having your own fire pit makes it all so much cosier,
We will most def be going back, and shall try the yurt, it looks so cosy and beautiful in the evening,

We camped at the Stream site at Springhill. We had great communication prior to arrival and were met by the neighbour with a warm welcome.
The site itself was very basic, with a tap and composting toilet. We had small children with us and it was not suitable for them as the grass had not been cut, it was very long and full of stinging nettles and thistles.
Due to rain we only stayed 1 night and the owner was great at giving us a refund on the second night.
The facilities were very basic we felt on the stream site but were aware that is the point really with this type of camping.
The location was great and this would be perfect for families without children or groups of adults.

This campsite is very peaceful and quiet, but I wouldn't recommend family with young children for this campsite but ideal for couples and small group of adults.
We stayed there for 2 nights at the woodland sites, greeted with a very warm welcome by the owner and he is very informative about the area as well as the facilities.
All cars are required to park at the farmyard and you will have to carry your camping gear to the site. Owner have some wheelbarrow for easy transport of all the gear.
The toilet and shower are at the farmyard (they are very clean and water is very hot), there is around 10 mins walk from the camping area.
If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet campsite, and doesn't mind to camp away from your car, this is the campsite for you! There is no other campers in site (probably because we were in the woodland)
When we camped there, there is just us in the woodland with our campfire it was fantastic! and it is only 20 to 25 mins walk to Forest Row!
Beware that it is quite a distance from your car to the camping area, so pack sensibly.

Springhill campsite is in a stunning location, quiet and peaceful. A place where you can really get away from it all. The owners are lovely, fun and genuine. They made sure we had everything we needed and were available with good advice on the local area.
It is a basic site but that is the point, it is about getting back to nature. You will come away feeling refreshed and de-stressed.
Cannot recommend the site enough, thank you for a lovely stay.
