Stayed at this CL as myself and son were going to Croft Race Circuit for the weekend. Excellent location, only 5 minutes to the track.
Everything as described on the website.
Easy to find, large pitches, all EHU and one water point near the entrance.
We had fresh eggs as chickens on site with the 2 donkeys. Owners were friendly and helpful.
We did not visit the local pub or shops.

Excellent little site which makes a good base for Swaledale and North Yorkshire.
Richmond, Reeth and Northallerton all worth a visit.
Site facilities were good - big, flat pitches with EHU.
Really good pub - The Herdsman - 10 minute walk away. Food there was delicious.

This CL site is a little gem. Nice surroundings with donkeys, cows, horses and chickens for close neighbours. We stayed here as we were visiting Croft circuit for motor racing. It was a bit further to walk than we thought, about 55 minutes.
There is a nice pub restaurant in the village (about 10 minutes away) We didn't sample the food but it certainly smelt and looked good. My husband was impressed with the real ale although there was only one on tap on the evening we were there.
Altogether a pleasant weekend away and at only £10 per night, excellent value for money.

Thought I should give this site a newer review just to confirm how fab this site still is. Just returned from a lovely weekend.
The site is only £10 a night which is a bargain. All pitches are hard standing with lots of space between them for awning and a car. Owners seen only when paying but very polite.
Quiet site and lots to do in the local area.
Will definitely return soon.

What a fantastic site, all hard standing pitches and very, very clean. A lot more than you expect to get for your £10 per night.
The owners were not on site the weekend we visited but they had picked a lovely couple to watch the site for them. We didn't arrive on site until 8:30 on the Friday night but this wasn't a problem and everybody came out and offered help to get us set up quickly.
The site is not far of the main road but far enough to be quiet and peaceful.
We visited Richmond but this site would be a great base for visiting any area of North Yorkshire.
The children's play are could do with a little care and attention but ours were the only children on site and the weather was poor so it didn't deter from a great weekend.
I really don't want to recommend the site as I don't want it to be full when we want to go again!(which I hope won't be too long in coming. )
Thanks for a great weekend

This is a great CL site, all hard standing, level pitches. In a very quiet place, nice walks around for dog, only 5 mile off A1.
Croft race track close by.
Been here 2 times may and October,
Great 4 week end stay only £10 a night. Nice pub just up the road under new management,
Scorton is just 5 mile away, ropers caravan sales at catterick 5 mile, ideal site to try out your new caravan.
Richmomd is 10 mile away great little town to visit, nice walks down by river,
Overall a great site to explore from.

This is a lovely little CL with level, hardstanding pitches all with 10amp EHU. The site is open all year round.
The owners, John and Isobel, were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble and they were very approachable (as was their lovely Golden Retriever, Charlie!)
Small climbing frame with slide for the children - this did need some attention (it was broken in a couple of places and in need of repair) but it didn't stop my 2 boys playing on it and having fun.
The site is situated on a quiet country lane and you are a 15-20 minute drive from the towns of Darlington, Northallerton and Richmond.
Loads to do in the surrounding area - this really is a beautiful part of North Yorkshire.
I can recommend a meal and a pint in the Black Bull Inn, in Moulton, about 3 miles from the site.
This is a gem of a site and we will definitely be returning.
