We have just returned from visiting Agden Hill Farm for the bank holiday and had a wonderful time. The campsite is set in a quiet beautiful setting close by to the lovely farmhouse. We received a very warn welcome from Kerry at the farmhouse.
We followed the path to Grafham Water and visited the cafe with its lovely boat and play area. If you have bikes it is quicker to get there than on foot. It is possible to get there on foot with prams but on a sunny day we had a lovely time.
The local pub did an excellent meal for our large group of 19 including lots of little children comprising of four families. They also serve breakfasts from 7am which sounds impressive.
All the visiting families not part of our group were very friendly and all the children played lovely together. We had all taken lots of entertainment from cricket, football, badminton and they had a lovely time running about and we keep kept an eye on them playing safely in the spacious field.
The toilet facilities are basic but there was plenty of toilet roll and hot water for hand washing. The washing up area needs improving since at present it just cold water but it has spacious stainless steel sinks to set up your washing box in. So if you are an organised camper as most of you are we coped ok using our large tub and making hot water with our kettle.
If you would like a quiet peaceful setting with basic facilities this is the perfect setting. We had a lovely day in Cambridge. We could hear lots of birds singing and the views were amazing from every direction. Kerry has only been located here a few years and all the plot names had lovely wooden plaques. We were on Birch. The main field is on a hill but our plot was fine and despite the rain during the break the grass was in immaculate conditions and had good drainage. Wellies were useful. Lots of places to visit nearby.

We have just returned from 3 nights at Agden Hill Farm. They do now take caravans and motorhomes. All pitches are grass with EHU, but mostly sloping so ramps are required. We never saw the owners so can't comment on them. Facilities are quite basic, in a portable building, 2 toilets, 2 wash-basins, 1 shower for the ladies but only 1 of everything for the gents. There were 2 cold-water washing-up sinks outside the ladies. It is a nice 20 minute walk across the farm track to join up to Graffham Water cycle/walking path. A very quiet peaceful site if you just want to chill out.

This is a great little site well located with many things to do in the area. Grafham Water is within walking/cycling distance (about 1. 5 miles), if you ask Kerry at the B&B she will tell you which way to walk from the farm.
Cycle hire at Grafham is £20 (2 bikes) for a couple of hours which is more than enough time to cycle the 10 miles and stop for a drink & icecream.
Duxford Imperial War Museum is about 40/50 mins away and is well worth a visit. It is a good day out on either a sunny or wet day.
Kimbolton has some nice little shops for provisions or there is a small post office in Perry.
The site itself is mostly sloping but there are one or two flatter pitches. If you book via their website you can pick which pitches are the flatter ones.
Yew is the flattest of them all but also the most exposed as it is at the end of the tree line that borders (and shelters) the pitches. All pitches get the sun first thing until early afternoon (yew slightly longer being on the end). You can pitch out into the field to be away from the trees a bit if you prefer.
The showers (1 in each) were hot and easy to use. The ladies shower also had a sink in it so you could have a private wash if you preferred. The ladies had a nice big area to get changed in and the mens was not too bad either from what I was told.
Plenty of hooks, towel rings and a stool to use in the ladies shower. 2 toilets in the ladies and 1 in the mens. Never had to queue for showers or loos. The facilities were kept really, really clean. For the size of the site I would say this was a perfectly adequate number of showers/toilets.
Both areas are housed in a portable cabin so you have to expect some bugs (not that it bothered us). However, people did keep leaving the doors open and the lights on at night which obviously attracted more bugs in so maybe a note on the door reminding people to close it would help with this.
Just 2 minor points on the facilities in that there was no hand soap available in the toilets and you could have done with a mop to wipe around after your shower to clear the water and grass for the next person.
The washing up area only has cold water, so you have to take hot water with you. But there are two big sinks/drainers and again they are kept very clean. As said by other reviewers they could probably do with some slabs where you stand to wash up as it is just mud underfoot. Recycling for rubbish is available.
The site was very quiet though we did get a bit of road swish noise from the B645, which although some distance away was floating in on the breeze. Being on a working farm you do have to expect some farm vehicle noise too. None of which bothered us though. Good star gazing a night on the site and what little noise there was had disappeared well before the 11pm quiet time.
We ate at the Wheatsheaf in Perry (by Grafham Water) and can recommend the food there.
Kerry at the B&B is very friendly and more than happy to help if you need anything (though equally will leave you to it if you are fine).
Overall a great good value site that we would recommend and visit again.

A lovely site - very quiet and peaceful. Toilets and shower block was kept clean and tidy. Lovely free, hot shower.
There is only cold water available at the washing-up facility, which meant it wasn't worth using.
The site is sloping, but this is clearly identified when you book - we were on a slightly sloping pitch, but found it wasn't as bad as we thought it might be and we had no problem either pitching or during the stay.
You can walk to Graffham Water from the campsite from behind the farmhouse - takes about 30 minutes.

A wonderful campsite. We stayed on a wet weekend, but there was plenty nearby to keep the children amused. There was plenty of space for the children to play.
The toilet and shower were kept very clean. The grandparents stayed in the B+B at the farm, which had large clean and comfortable rooms, and was close to the campsite so we could enjoy a family BBQ.
Kerry was a great, accommodating host. Highly recommended.

A pretty site, only 12 - 15 pitches and spacious, lots of room for kids to run around. A copse borders one side of the field providing a good wind-break. Lovely views and quite far from the road, so quiet.
The showers were excellent, lovely and clean, but only one for men and one for women! If the site is full there will be queues. Two toilets for women and one for men, also inadequate. Apart from cold water washing-up sinks there are no other facilities.
You can walk to Grafham Water in 30 minutes, or 20 minutes in the other direction is The Snooty Tavern at Great Staughton where we had a lovely meal.

Just back from a lovely stay at Agden farm. Due to the weather being rather poor we shared the field with only 1 other tent. To be honest it was lucky we did as our allocated pitch was so far away from the EHU point our cable would never have reached. If its important to you to have hook up take a very long cable or contact the site to find out how far you are from the EHU station. We booked this site via their online booking system on their website which is very honest about each pitch and its slope. This is a very sloped site and even though we found pitching to be fine we kept rolling off our beds in the night and our baby found it near impossible to be sat up up crawl! The pitches are clearly marked and the woodland at the back of the pitches provided a good break for the wind. New trees have also been planted to help.
The site was clean and tidy with lovely views of the countryside. It was extremely peaceful and the site owner very friendly. The toilets showers were extremely clean but there were only 2 tents on our visit. There was 1 toilet and shower for the mens and 2 toilets 1 shower for the ladies however no soap or hand towels/dryer in the toilets. There is a 2 sink washing up station which is undercover but muddy under foot. A few slabs would help sort this problem though. Only cold water at the wash up station. This is listed as a Camping & caravaning certified site but we were not members and were able to book no problem. We did hope to walk around Grafham water whilst here but didn't know the way on foot from the site plus I think it was through fields which was not suitable for our babies buggy at the time due to heavy rainfall previous to our visit.
We did have a lovely time at St Neots though which was a 15 minute drive away. This site is local to us and we certainly would love to go back for a cheap basic stay.

Went to this site as you can access the cycle route round Grafham Water directly from the campsite. The site has a website where you can book directly on line. It is a bit on the pricey side as it is £10 per pitch then £2.50 per person after that (12 years and under free).
The site is sloping quite steeply and out of the 10 allocated pitches the middle 4 are only suitable for small tents due to the slope. Electric is available but not to all pitches unless you a have a very long EHU cable.
There is a shower in both the mens and ladies toilets but only one toilet in the mens and two in the ladies.
The site is quite isolated and when we were there very quiet. It is listed as a Camping and Caravan Club CS.
Will go again. Hopefully fees will become more reasonable.
