 Great site for families with plenty to do for all age ranges. We booked as part of a camping and caravanning club rally, so had the added benefit of club stewards on hand to help get us settled and lay on extra activities.
On site there is a fantastic pool with water slides and a lazy river. Kids get free drinks and ice cream during the day, and there is a bar, restaurant and snack bar open all day and evening. There is a multilingual kids club from 5 years old upwards, with a separate teens club. The staff lay on some great themed activities. Our kids loved the circus skills day, taught by visiting circus professionals, followed by a visit to the circus in the evening.
For under 4s there is a well equipped Yurt for them to play in, and plenty of smaller equipment in the numerous play parks.
This is a lively site and very busy so expect noise until midnight. Beyond that, it all quietens down and the site is patrolled by security. Them do seem harsher on the Brits than the French though.
The shower and toilet blocks are modern, but there are not enough of them around (just two for the whole site) which means that queues are frequent, and you may have to walk a long way to get to the block depending on where your pitch is. Chemical toilet disposal points are also at the block.
Water points are frequent but slow, 10-15 minutes to fill a 40 litre water barrel. Take a strap with you to wrap around the push down tap so you don't have to stand there pressing the button every few seconds!
The pitches are a good size, and individually marked out, but access can be very tight for larger units. Most people with caravans had to rustle up help to push their vans from the main access road to the pitch as towing onto the pitch wasn't possible in most cases. No problem if you have a motor mover and a good battery!
Lots of lovely beaches in the local area that are safe for the kids to play on. Surf beaches are on the northern side of the peninsula, with calmer beaches on the southern side. All within 5-20 mins drive. Good choice of supermarkets locally, as well as local street markets. Excellent area for seafood too.
The site shop is limited, but you can get the essentials there including morning bread and croissants.
There is evening entertainment laid on in the bar area, from bands to traditional Breton dancing. For kids there is a whole entertainment programme every week, including magic shows, talents shows and mini disco.
All in all a very good site, especially if you enjoy socialising with fellow campers. If you like quiet solitude, then I'd give this a wide berth!
