 I arrived this afternoon. What a lovely surprise! I'd been looking for municipal sites as they're always good value but in this area, there seems to be quite a few closed down! The girl at reception was great. Got me booked in easily. It's a beautiful site, very well kept, with mature trees and flowers around. The showers are wet rooms and you DON'T have to keep pressing the button. There's plenty room to move, not just a tiny box like some places I've been to! It's a real tap too! Everything is spotlessly clean. There are 2 washing machines (2. 50€) and although there isn't a drier, there are washing lines, with pegs, available. It even has a roof in case of bad weather - or sun bleaching! The cost is 10. 10€ per night for 1 person. My dog is free as is the wifi, which is all over the site. I absolutely love this site. It's not busy which is great as it keeps it nice and quiet, as I like it. Seems to be a great place for touring the area bough I haven't begun to explore yet.
I'm still at this site but I would now advise anyone coming to avoid it at weekends! I'd hoped last weekend was a one-off but no. There seems to be what sounds like an open air disco of some sort on Friday til maybe 2:30am, same Saturday and Sunday! It's not the campsite making the noise, it's the town itself! It's unbelievably loud! Cars are constantly driving fast, screeching tyres on the gravel outside the gates and people shouting and screaming endlessly! I've never experienced anything like this! It's bedlam!
It's still a great site - but only on a weekday!
