A pleasant, quiet site within walking distance of local amenities within the lovely village of Byfield. A 20 minute drive takes you to Daventry with a Tesco and Aldi and a lovely country park with numerous walks.
Close to the site is Boddington reservoir - walk from the site around the reservoir and back was about 1 hour.
The site itself has all you need and the ablutions are clean and tidy. Didn't see much of the wardens as they are at work most of the time. Electricity is included in the £30/night rate which was useful as the weather wasn't at it's best during our stay.
There is a useful wash up area but hot water is limited to the small tank capacity. Beware for those of you wanting to spend a lengthy time on the loo as the lights are on a sensor and said sensor is outside the toilet cubicle and yes, you guessed who got left in the dark with unfinished business!
Next door there is a working farm and a chap was teaching sheep dogs to herd sheep - pleasant to watch - a real life old whistle test event!

Another perfect weekend at this little gem of a campsite!
10/10 on all fronts, we will be back!
Thankyou very much for having us.
Everything was perfect (apart from the weather but that's the way it goes - it all adds to the fun!)

The owner was friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The pitches, washing up areas, disposal areas, toilet and shower blocks were well maintained and organised and clean.
The view across the fields, to the hills beyond was a lovely sight.
There's a garage and convenience store 5 mins away, by car, in Byfield.
I would definitely use this site again and recommend it to others who are looking for a small, quiet, adult only site with just the basic amenities.
I loved it!

Lovely quiet campsite, lovely setting.
Great for star gazing as there is no light pollution.
Toilet and showers very clean, as was the wash up area.

Well we certainly cannot fault this little gem of a campsite! We have had a restful and peaceful short break here with Nancy Pudding, our dog.
Beautifully well maintained, flat pitches next door to a field of inquisitive sheep which were a joy to watch.
Facilities were spotlessly clean and well cared for by the owners who live on site and were absolutely lovely.
We appreciated the "adults only" policy which made for a tranquil stay.
Thankyou for having us! Happy to recommend to anyone!

Lovely small quiet adult only site with basic but adequate facilities.
We were the only ones staying this weekend and it was bliss!
Run by lovely family.

We really enjoyed our stay at Crossing Farm Campsite.
The owners were really friendly and helpful.
The facilities were very good. It is a lovely quiet, relaxing place….
Watching the sunset next to curious sheep!
The farmer often came out to train his sheep dogs.
It’s quite close to the village where there is a shop, but the pub locally wasn’t doing food.

Wow, what a difference new owners make
Visited this CL site a few times before for a nearby event and its a massive improvement.
It's always had potential and now it has owner's who actually have an interest in what they are trying to create.
The toilets and showers were spotless, as were the well manicured pitches.
Well done and keep up the good work,
Will definitely be back 🙂

Quiet and tranquil site with good views across countryside and amazing sunsets.
Good clean basic facilities for small Campsite. From memory these comprised:
Ladies: Wash hand Basin, 2 Cubicles, 2 Showers
Gents: Wash Hand Basin, 2 Urinals, 1 Cubicle, 1 Shower
Plenty of hot water for showers and washing-up.
Good Chemical and Grey Waste Disposal Facilities, but No Drive Over Drain for Motorhomes.
Good water pressure for filling fresh water tanks.
The wardens Marnie & Kevin are really friendly and helpful.
The field next to the site was home to a variable number of sheep along with sheep-dogs being exercised and trained.
