Great quiet site, lovely peaceful setting with fishing lake next to pitches. Basic shower & toilet facilities. A separate sink to tent users to do washing up would be great. Will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed a couple of nights earlier this month after a period of heavy rain, we got stuck in the mud and the owner was very helpful and sorted us out. A very nice and peaceful site wcs basic but acceptable not money grabbing like some sites

It is a lovely little campsite it is like a little hidden secret behind Walled Garden, the toilets and showers are basic but are clean, there is a fish pond on site and I'm told the fishing is good, there is a bus service that runs past the site just need to wave down and it goes to Goole or Scunthorpe

Had a fantastic weekend, we only went for two nights but ended up staying for five. This is the place to go just to chill out and relax.
We also had five teenage children and a four year old with us, and even they enjoyed the peace and quiet. The fishing was good, the animals very friendly.
The shower blocks could do with some TLC and also separate sinks for the washing up would be ideal for those in tents. The owner Geoff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a touring caravan with 2 adults and 2 dogs.
What we liked about this site:
It was reasonably easy access from the motorway, with approximately 20 minutes on A roads and minor roads; the setting was beautiful and quiet; there was a fishing pond and livestock from the farm which added to the charm and interest for the children; the warden on site helped us straightaway with getting settled and there wasn't a lot for him to let us know about.
On the down side:
Although the wcs, showers and toilet floors were clean in themselves, the rest of the block was in need of some maintenance. There was no other hot water available (for say washing up) and as we haven't sorted out our hot water in the caravan it was a hassle washing up. The showers require 20p in the coin meter. We accept this charge as the site charge was on £10 per night. The notice board could do with some TLC. Finally, the sign at the end of the road was hard to spot on first arriving and would be more useful on the other side of the road.
If we had a caravan that was self-contained with washing facilities we would come here again. However, for those in tents or still setting up a caravan like us, I would say try somewhere else first.
Once the sun has gone down the site is dark (except for the glow from Scunthorpe). This is great for those who like a quiet life, as long as you expect it. I also heard an owl several times, which was great.
Do visit The Half Moon Inn at Reedness (next village towards Goole). Great meals, great beer, great atmosphere, friendly staff. There is a post office/small shop and a pet shop in this village. Otherwise, make use of the Co Op at Old Goole.

All as above. Nice site, so peaceful you can't wake up in the morning. Loved it but with reservations.
No proper toilet disposal and no alternative offered, like putting it down the loo, the only alternative. No washing up sinks as such. People just use the toilet sinks.
Fishing is good, some good sized fish.
Chickens come round to be fed, very friendly eccept they do poo on the grass!
The RSBP site is 11/2 miles down the road, Blacktoft Sands. Do not confuse it with the Blacktoft site accross the river. 17 mile ourney round through Goole! Many do.
We suffered an outbreak of thunder flies this weekend, not very nice but nature.

Great little CL type site. Geoff the owner very helpful, a few sheep and two friendly hens. Sheep separate from the pitches. There is a small pond with 13 pegs. Well worth fishing as I have fished here over 20 years. ( live local )
Now with a van I go for a relaxing weekends to fish. There are Carp (a lot) and plenty of Silvers, big Roach and Bream, Tench, Crusians, Rudd, Perch. These are my main quarry. Baits, maggots, pellets, corn, bread, in infact you can use any bait and also a keepnet. £3 to fish.
Toilets showers clean for both male and female, careful with children ( the pond ) but swimmers and fishing kids (great). You can feed the animals. Nice grassed area, just round the corner is a bird nature reserve well worth a visit. Pub about a mile away in Reedness the next village.

Situated in North Lincolnshire this is a very nice quiet little site by adjoining fishing lake. The toilets and showers seperate for men and woment were small but adequate. There is also a disabled persons shower and toilet. The owner was very friendly. There are no shops near the closest I saw were about 3 miles away. There is a pub about 1 mile away.

Very relaxing site, quiet and peaceful, except for the chickens and sheep. Great fishing lake. Ok for the kids if they can amuse themselves, or they enjoy fishing.
There is no shop nearby but there is a Co-op store as you leave Goole. Toilets and showers are adequate.
The owners are very obliging and helpful. All things considered this site is great value for money and deserves a second visit.
ACCESS: When travelling from M62 follow signs for 'Old Goole' and carry on the A161, turn left at the garage in Swinefleet and then right at the top of the road, the site is several miles on this road. If you follow the AA route you will end up travelling down a single track lane. Not too good when the combines and tractors are out!
NOTE: THERE IS NO TOILET DISPOSAL AVAILABLE UNLESS YOU USE THE GREEN FLUID (ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY)!
