Better than expected, all of fields on way there were flooded so expected the worse but drainage was good so dry. It was what was described a clean field good toilets. The owners were on holiday and we were only ones on site so was perfect, little noise from neighbours dog but my German Shepard loved the conversation with it. If I had to find a negative it would be shame they are building barn conversions nearby as in future could be little noisy but I'd go back without question for £12 with hook up per night fab value for money. Well done to site. It was as presented no frills great access. Take a torch as no light pollution so extremely dark but amazing stars to view.

This was the second time we have stayed here, and as in the previous year found it noisy, not with people/children etc, but the animals and birds!
This is a very much hands on animal visitor centre, with, goats and hens roaming freely. The CL is not very well signposted from the main road.
The CL is enclosed and sheltered with no views, and the grass is very long, the pitches are only marked on the hook-ups, so although quite spacious sometimes two caravans maybe quite close, however you have to pre pay/book and you are told which pitch to use, seldom do 'the owners' come on to site.
The early morning wake-up call from the hand reared sheep/calves/goats can be a nuisance as are the many pigeons that constantly tap dance on the caravan roof, and coo(& pooh).
There is a very small 'town' of around 5 shops, and a couple of pubs, and really not much else.
