Stayed here for 1 night in late July 2021. It was the only place that wasn't booked up so we went for it. That should have been a warning sign. I'm going to try and be as objective as posible. Here goes.
The current website does say it's a "No frills site" and it has about 5 pictures of the site (read that as field) - but nowhere does it say what the facilities are.
- There is no sign what so ever at the entrance of the site - none. The post code given for the site takes you further up green lane. There is no reception or sign telling you what to do. I called the tel number of the site and the guy popped around and I paid him. There was no telling you baout the site. He didn't even get out of the car - just took the money throug the car window and left!
- There are just two composting portaloo for the whole site. They were filthy the whole time. Totally unsuitable for small children, and not enough if the campsite was full.
- There are no showers
- No washing up facilities.
- I counted four water taps dotted around the site - you have to look for them as they were part hidden in the hedges.
- It cost us £6 per person per night. For the exact same price we had been staying at sites, that had showers with free hot water, washing up facilies, clean lavatories. So this site was really bad value in comparison to what you can get else where.
The website should list it's amenities - so you can see exactly what it doesn't have.
The campsite should have a sign at the entrance. Not even the Penzance taxi drivers knew where the place was when we got a taxi back from Penzance.
Some parts of the campsite have a view of St Michaels Mount.
So if you have called up all other campsites in the area and they are all full, and you are down to plan Z - then you have this place.

Me & our friends arrived here in a campervan & motorhome and stopped just in the off chance.
Such a lovely site with beautiful views over at Michaels mount.
John the owner what a lovely guy so welcoming & full of a wealth of local info.
He was that nice we had a lovely drink in the local a couple of nights.
This site does have basic facilities but don’t let that put you off, there is lots of taps and x2 toilets, all for a small amount each night.
I rate this site 10/10 and will be back.
Local pubs do some lovely food too.

We stayed here for two weeks really enjoyed our holiday. Two portaloos waste water tanks 4 fresh water taps. Farmer very friendly and very helpful would definitely go back. Brilliant views. If you are looking for somewhere for one or two nights or several nights location ideal.

Spent 10 days on this site camping with the camping &caravan club temporary holiday site
Site was well kept clean portaloo and fresh water all you need
The panoramic views are amazing, the company of fellow campers was great, and the stewards were first class, we will certainly return next year for 2 weeks

We came across this camp site whilst looking around the area, it was August Bank Holiday and every where else was full.
This is a basic site, in fact it was just a field that the farmer owned and I'm not sure how long it is used for.
We arrived and was directed in by the chap that was directing traffic into the car park overflow in the field next door. He told us to park any where and that the farmer would be around at some point to take our money, the cost was £10 for the night for our campervan and I think it was £8 for a tent. The farmer makes regular trips around the field, he is ok but quite eccentric. We parked up with fantastic views of St Michaels Mount, in fact I don't think we could have had a better view from any where else.
Now when I say this is basic I mean basic, there were 2 porta loos for the whole field and to say they were well used would be an under statement, in fact after 2 nights there ( we stayed 3 nights ) we were using the toilets in the car park opposite, it was only a short walk to them. The porta loos were not well kept and I have been to festivals and the loos there were in a better condition!
There was 1 water tap which did get a bit muddy under foot. No electric at all.
This is a basic site but for views were fantastic. It was only a short walk into Marazion ( about 5 mins ) where there is a fish and chip shop and a couple of pubs, the beach is just across the road. We did speak to other campers and they return there each year, but they did have a caravan.
There is a local convenience store but I would recommend going to the Tescos or Morrisons that is about a 5 mins drive away as the prices in the local shop are high.
I would return here if the farmer sorted out his porta loos and if you do use this site park up the field as when the car park across the road fills up he opens this same field for car parking!
