Just what you expect, fresh water, cdp and Ehu all for £14 a night, grass was beautifully mown.
Right next door to trout lake for fly fishing.
Just a small niggle it had a road on two sides and they don't drive slowly around there.
Easy to find and a short trip into Scunthorpe for shopping.
Would go again though

Booked site last minute for bank holiday weekend and so glad we did,
Its pretty easy to find if a little strange to go over grass to get to gravel entrance, the owner came over and is very nice, showed us electric point and said park where and how you want, field is a bit uneven in places though but grass is short there are roads around the site but not to busy.
If you want a good pub the bird in the barley at messingham is very good and reasonably priced (owner reccomended) although very busy. Scunthorpe and gainsborough are both not far away for shopping but there are shops in scotter if you don't want to go far.
Shame they are only open to october as we will not be able to go again till next year now.

One of the best CL's I've stayed on!
Easy access to a large flat field surrounded by hedges and a paddock.
The grass had been mown very short and looked like a cricket pitch.
Electric hook ups, fresh water, waste sump & rubbish bins all that were all very clean and neat.
The site is in a good rural location with the charming village of Scotter only a few minutes away offering
Plenty of local services.
The owners were very friendly and accommodating and obviously take great pride in their site, along with the adjoining Trout Fishery. If you are visiting the area I would strongly recommend you try this CL for yourselves.

Spent 3 days at this lovely location the weather was kind and the fishing excellent along with the hosts. The fishery & campsite are stunning one of the best kept CL sites I've ever been to and the owners could not of been more welcoming and helpful. Have a look at their website totally recommended!

This is my idea of the perfect CL site. The area is not one I have any real knowledge of but was really surprised how nice it is. All the surrounding villages are great and thriving. Traditional Pubs, plenty of village shops, even numerous takeaways within a few minutes drive. The site itself is set in open countryside and is extremely peaceful. We had a lovely day visiting Gainsborough, Scunthorpe and Lincoln are within easy reach. The fly fishing lake two minutes walk from the site is really nice and very well stocked. And I found all the anglers along with the bailiff to be a very friendly bunch. The site has good 16 amp hook up points recently installed. Lovely and level no need for hard ground pegs or levelling blocks. The owners I found to very welcoming and willing to give advice regarding the local area etc. Great CL.
The toilet waste emptying point is one of the best I have used. The site has a substantial gate at the entrance and feels very secure.
