Have just returned home from a three night stay at this site. The owners ( jan and john ) are lovely people and cant do enough for you. We had our own toilet block with power shower. Toilet and wash basin with plenty of room. Which meant you could leave your towels etc in there all the time. There are plenty of nice walks and a very good bus service close to the site. There is a good pub fifty yards up the road with good meals. But book up in advance it do get busy. On the site you are surrounded by beautiful gardens with your own patio and table and chairs. It is a very quiet little site the way we like it. I wish there was more like it. Jan offered to take us to a vintage show on oswestry show ground, she took the wrong turning and went to turn round in a factory entrance when we went towards the gate to exit the automatic gates shut and we were trapped inside, the factory was closed for the weekend. We did get out eventually. The moral of this story is dont go with jan she will get you locked up. ( joking of course) best site we have been on hope they will have us back.

Just returned from 4 nights at this campsite. As it is only a one pitch site you have no troubles with shower and loo as it is all yours ! Also garden furniture provided in your own bit of garden. Jan and Skip are a very friendly couple, I was given two fresh eggs for the following days breakfast.
Pub at top of road that does lovely food with big portions.
Bus stop outside to go to Oswestry and from there to Shrewsbury Wrexham etc. Bus stop this side for Welshpool.
For a small fee we were taken to nearest railway station to get train to Chester a lovely place, picked up from station
At time we requested.
There is a preserved railway two minutes from site, about 10 minutes further is the Montgomery Canal which is pleasant for
Walking (you are provided with information by the hosts which was very handy. The day we left we were given an armful of rhubarb which made lovely pies ! Well worth a visit.

This is a lovely pitch with access to beautiful countryside and lots of walks, including the Montgomery Canal and Llanymynech. There are bus services to Welshpool and Oswestry (where you can get buses to other places of interest)- we never took our campervan out once during our stay (5 days) but still did loads of exploring.
The pitch has all facilities easily to hand - electric, water and TV aerial and the toilet/shower block is perfect.
The patio set is a really useful extra touch - even in March we sat outside when it was sunny.
The owners are very friendly and can't do enough for you.
We rarely plan to visit many places more than once as our aim is to visit different places; however we do intend to stay here again - if only to see the lovely garden in a different season, to visit the Cambrian Heritage Railway when it is open and to do all the walks we didn't get around to the first time.

We've just returned from a fabulous 5 days at Hafod. What can I say? This place must definitely be unique!
We had our own cosy corner of the garden, complete with water, waste disposal and EHU, plus patio area with table and chairs. The hedge screens a shower/wet room and toilet which is beautifully clean with some nice touches you usually only get in hotels; shower caps, shampoo etc. As it was for our sole use we could safely leave our towels etc. In there too.
But best of all are the hosts. From the minute we arrived they were like old friends. Skip drove us to places of local interest and we even had a whole day out with them. Be prepared to chat a lot! They are lovely.
The garden is gorgeous. (We were encouraged to help out with weeding and watering. ) The stream and pond are delightful and the chickens always glad to be fed but rewarded us with fresh eggs. The owner offered us freshly picked gooseberries and blackcurrants too.
Loads of places to visit within an hour's drive. Castles galore and Coalbrook Dale and Ironbridge are definitely worth a visit.
Any drawbacks? The nearest shop is about 20 mins walk away and there is no pot washing area (but what can you expect on a one pitch site!) We didn't try the local pubs so can't comment. This place is not really suitable for children or anyone who wants lively atmosphere but for singles or couples wanting a nice restful break, it is heaven on earth.
We will definitely be back.
Thanks so much.
Molly & Pete

A very warm and cheerful greeting by the owner on our arrival, who also gave us a half dozen eggs from the farm's own chicks. This is really a unique pitch, it really equates to having your own personal site, not having to share, shower, toilet and even your own patio overlooking a great garden. The pitch is screened off by mature hedges and beautiful climbing foliage.
Shower and toilet facilities are excellent, as well as not having to share, they are spotless, great pressure for a good hot power shower.
2 Pubs with in a mile of the site. The white Lion is literally across the road and serves a great pint of Speckled Hen and 1 mile away is the The Lime Kiln, had a brilliant meal there, fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection and plenty of it.
The site is handy for lots of walks, in particular one we did that started 5 minutes from the site over the Offas Dyke and to the Hoffman Kiln, then back along the Canal. Stunning scenery from the tops.
The owners are great hosts and we will return this site

We found this campsite on a search, but what a find it was in October and the garden was still very pretty we had a great weeks just relaxing. The owners are very helpful. The site was very clean and tidy. Pat is disabled but there are no problems with shower which was spotless clean we will return again
The pub which is close but was not dog friendly as we have a dog. There a small heritage railway close where you you can walk a dog subject to its timetable it about a mile long if you walk it up and down.

This excellent one super pitch site in the garden of a lovely friendly couple who are prepared to go the extra mile to make you so welcome and be so helpful, is well worth a visit. The only slight negative if you happen to be a light sleeper is the traffic noise from the adjoining roads although fortunately it did not bother us. Local pub, just a few minutes walk away serves excellent food and drink. Its a great location for visiting the lovely local area up into North Wales or Northern Shropshire Freda & Ron

I was searching for a site for our 2 night weekend break and reading the website my curiosity was aroused. I promptly booked, quite surprised that the 1 space pitch was available at such late notice, off we set, hoping that we wouldn`t be disappointed on arrival! What a gem we discovered, from the moment we arrived, everything we would want and more, great people, outstanding gardens immaculate in every way and just a pleasure to wander around. Our own patio and separate garden with all you need on the pitch to make for a relaxed stay. A vastly understated description by the owners, Go and see for yourself ! It will appeal to the couple who like easy going walks in the immediate area, a local pub is there or just just enjoy those superb gardens. A pleasure to be there and top of our list to enjoy again.
