Excellent views, very peaceful clean site.

Owner very helpful and friendly, she even gave us a lovely plant.

Toilet and free shower is in a clean shed.

£17 or £20 with electric.

Good TV signal. Vodafone data was ok. EE and Three very good.

Visited this lovely little site over Easter 2015. Great communication from the owner Heather before arrival ensured we knew where to park the caravan.

Only one toilet and shower (not push button type!) but never had to wait long. Facilities kept spotless and a mop left in the building for those muddy footprints.

Weather was terrible on arrival, ground quickly became very boggy but started to dry after a day of Easter sun.

Site is quite a drive (10-15mins or so) from civilisation but we knew that before we arrived.

Children loved the newborn lambs.

The views from the site were amazing.

Couple of swings and a really good sized sand pit kept the children amused for hours.

Using SatNav & postcode, site found fairly easy at top of the dales, as farm name suggests!

Half mile drive to actual farmhouse, easily navigated on good road surface.

Site owners, Heather & George, not available on arrival - but excellent communication prior to this ensured that there were no problems.

Slight problem positioning van as pitch uneven and on slope. Not much room to manoeuvre with vehicle, but persistent rain and high winds did not help visibility! Make sure you bring blocks/wheel-wedges to assist with pitch.

Site consists of a strip of neatly manicured lawn leading down from farm towards fields.

Facilities consist of Toilet/Shower block with washbasin. Fairly dated but clean and nicely tiled. Fresh water tap & waste area.

One small niggle, basket of Jams/ Eggs for sale - but would prefer not to be in toilet block - Not everyone is to be relied on for cleanliness!

Three days passed with no problems, Heather and George always on hand to provide advice, extremely friendly couple.

Lovely walks in the vicinity of the farm, but bear in mind that the farm is very isolated and if you are expecting a wealth of amenities in the area, this site is not for you.

Site itself is well fenced off and ideal for young children, nice little play areas for youngsters.

If taking your dog, it must be kept on a lead on the site and surrounding livestock fields. Heather goes to great lengths to inform you when she is walking her dogs so that there is no clash of animals. This works well if you heed her advice.

Cost for Tourer & Awning, Car, two adults with ehu for three nights was £45. Also, our teenage daughter and our small terrier stayed on the first night.

Not the cheapest club site by far, but still reasonable at today's rates. Also, please note that if you use electric heating in your van then there is an additional charge.

Our daughter was staying in her van alongside ours and had to pay the excess cost for this.

All in all, highly recommended. The owners are a credit to the farm and site.

Unfortunately for us the weather was atrocious for three days, we are getting used to this in summer now!

We had a fabulous night stay. Heather couldn't do enough for us. The facilities were extremely clean and the peace and quiet was bliss. It was based on a working farm which was delightful. It was also only a short drive to the beautiful Hamsterley forest. The children enjoyed being so close to nature (especially the lamb 'fluffy'), playing on their bikes and the little on site park and had a fantastic night away!

This is heaven, peaceful, apart from the kids, party of six nobody wanted to leave,

Very clean site,

Heather couldn't do enough for you,

We have already booked for a further 4 days in a fortnights time and booking one of the caravans for next year,

Our four kids cried all the way home, luckily its only forty minutes away,

Highly recommend this site to everybody,

The views are breath taking, the thing we started to camp for

This was a really fantastic place, the pitches are very well looked after & the views are awesome. Its a very clean and friendly site, it only had one toilet & shower but was kept immaculately clean at all times. The owner was more than helpful, she offered a laundry service & told us if we ran short on groceries or any other general things to make a list & a shop from a nearby village would deliver the next day, she also gave us lots of tips on where to visit for the children. Our son was constantly amused, he loved the animals & went on daily walks round the farm with the owner with her dogs. I will definitely be going again.

Spent a weekend at this small, quiet site. It is set amongst farmland on a hillside, with excellent views across the Durham countryside and Hamsterley Forest from the higher farmland. The owner was really friendly and welcoming and offers a clothes washing service and a shopping service if you need daily supplies. Pitches were slightly sloping and all had electric hook up. There is a small washroom with sink, toilet and shower. This was always spotlessly clean.

Hamsterley Forest is two miles away. You can park at Bedburn and walk or cycle into the forest. There's excellent walks and marked cycle trails throughout the forest, as well as a shop, tearoom and cycle hire.
