This is a great little site. We had booked it for a two night stay but decided to try it for one night first and glad we did. The views are amazing and the site is so peaceful. The family running the site are friendly and very helpful as we forgot a couple of things. Its great for kids and our daughter enjoyed playing on the little park and looking at the little rabbits and chickens. We will be back again and again

What a great little hidden gem this site is!
Perfect for families just wanting to chill without all he costly fuss and distractions. Site has toilets, free showers (very clean too) and ample supply of fresh clean drinking water, all we needed basically.
We took 3 children under age of 5 and it was lovely watching them running, playing, picking buttercups and basically just being kids, they loved the secret play area through the trees which has swings, seesaw, slide oh and rabbits and chickens which the kids found amazing!
The feeling of tranquillity combined with the stunning views was to us magical and just what we needed.
Everyone was so friendly especially the owners of the site. What a genuinely lovely family they are. They have it just right. There if you need them but not watching your every move (like some sites do), we felt a million miles away from hustle of life but also safe and secure. Loved it, LOVED IT! Regular visitors we will be!

My family and I stayed at this campsite for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend. The views were fabulous, the site was well maintained and the owners were very welcoming. The field was on a slight slope, but that wasn't a problem for us. THe golf course is practically on site, but I didn't bring my clubs! The site was very peaceful, and quiet, as we prefer. We were left to our own devices, and picked our own spot, and were not asked to leave at 12 noon on the day of departure, which was good.
We would have preferred electric hook-up, but again, not a problem. The showers/toilets were basic, but clean and free of charge. It was an excellent location, and we visited a local pub, the Stop and Rest, which had a great atmosphere. All the facilities we needed were within a short distance, and because we had the weather opn our side we thoroughly enjoyed our break. Would definitely recommend this site, very laid back. Thanks very much.

We visited this site briefly as a family of four after spending the day on Pendle Hill. The site was easy to find and, as we expected, pretty basic.
The owner was incredibly welcoming, and we had the pick of the field so we camped in what we hoped would be a sunny spot the next morning, unfortunately we awoke to a very grey morning. The site was quiet and peaceful.
The facilities; showers/toilets, waste disposal and drinking water, were basic but adequate and easily accessible on the edge of the field.
The site is exactly what we were looking for, a simple camp site, not an over-commercialised 'holiday park'. We will stay here again and definitely for at least 2 nights.
The beauty of this spot lies within it's location. Once pitched the site feels fairly remote and is certainly peaceful, ideal for camping purists, yet the town of Accrington is 5 minuted away by car should you wish to access the many shops, supermarkets and food outlets.
