The location for Weymouth and the views from the field are superb. However, I'm afraid I would not recommend this site. The friendly, helpful lady farmer explained that she'd had trouble with travellers so was using a different, more obscured field. This field had poor, narrow access with scratchy thorns. Grass was unmown and there were a lot of cowpats. Eleanor was a portal of and no rubbish disposal facilities. To be fair she took ours away. At ten pounds a night with no hook up I found it dear.
I would say that if she were to go back to using the proper field I would happily recommend it.

This is a site I chose for ease of access by public transport, the 2 or 10 bus from Weymouth takes about 15 minutes and stops directly outside Farmer P's. It costs £3 return or £1. 80 single into the centre of Weymouth. I was on my own the first night, with friend and 2 year old joining me for the weekend. There were quite a few children on the site having fun running around - there is no playground or anything like that but children can make their own fun.
It is basically a field with 2 portaloos in toilet tents, and a tap-and magnificent views over the Wey Valley. For 50p you can shower at the sports centre over the road (I didn't bother-just hosed down under the cold tap as it was so hot). Farmer P offers a cooked breakfast which we didn't try but the family who did came out of the cafe looking happy. There is an M&S food shop at the garage over the road which was well stocked or a Morrisons about 10 minutes walk down the road. Most of the tents on the site were quite small units, only a couple of large tents were there. This is a site for people who want peace and quiet and beautiful scenery but easy access to the town and beach.
I will certainly be going again - at £4 per pitch and £4. 50 per adult this is what camping is about.

This is a brilliant camp site, a real back to old school camping. A field, with adequate flat areas, a cold water tap and wonderful views. There were two portaloos provided. We were attending a friends wedding reception in Weymouth and had travelled over 300miles in our vw camper and an eriba caravan. Our host, aka Farmer P, could not have been more helpful. I booked late and communicated freely via text messages. When we approached the site I sent a text asking where to turn off Dorchester road and they rang us to give us helpful directions. A very straight forward turn off leads you right to the farm shop and reception. The camping field is at the end of a small but easily manageable farm track, whilst we were there we saw a large caravan arrive on site with out any bother. There is plenty of space on the field to turn any sized rig around. The site is perfectly located for the town centre and there are great walks and a nature reserve nearby. We only stayed the one night, but would have happily stayed longer. We didn't use the shower facilities in the sports centre next to the camp site as we were heading home. However we did have the cooked breakfast at the farm shop tea room, which was superb and definitely value for money. This site is based on a small working farm run by owner herself. When rating this camp site I have rated what was there and not what isnt there. A simply charming, no frills, place to visit and a place we will most definitely visit again. Thank you so much Farmer P for such a pleasant stay. :-)

A real gem of a site discovered through UK Campsite. Perfectly placed for Weymouth beach and Dorchester. Not easily spotted as one approaches but look out for Farmer P's Farm Shop.
300yard narrow farm track to the camping fields could prove difficult for large units but we had no problem with a 6 metre motorhome. Once on the site the wiew over the Wey valley is lovely.
The owner is friendly and very helpful; the toilets are quaint but ok to use.
Having the use of showers at the sport centre opposite is an advantage and we found the staff there very friendly and sports facilities are available if the weather is not so good.
We had an hours table tennis for a reasonable fee.

Redlands Farm is a real little gem hidden away only a mile or so from the centre of weymouth. It is basic, as it is a farm site and the only facilities are water, compostable toilets and a farm shop but this adds to the charm. We were pleasantly surprised by the toilets, which did not smell and the provision of alcohol hand rub was a great idea.
This is a site for people who want to get back to basics (or like us have everything on board a caravan)
The farm is off the main Dorchester Road, which had buses running in to Weymouth every 10 minutes, so we never used the car. The garage opposite the site entrance provided milk etc (M & S food) and the main Morrisons supermarket is within walking distance.
We stayed for 3 nights but would certainly consider returning.
Farmer Pip was courteous and genuine and her sausages are to die for.
All in all we had a great time. Thanks Farmer P, see you again.

This was a lovely little find tucked away near Weymouth. The site is on a working farm and the camping fields have lovely views across the valley.
The toilets are composting and fine to use (luxurious in fact when you have been used to toilets at big music festivals!) There is a farm shop but didn't really have a proper look inside as only there for one night.
This is back to basics camping which is so refreshing. You can use the showers at the sports centre but we didn't as only one night short stay.

This is a really nice tidy camping site overlooking the Wey Valley in Weymouth. It has toilet facilities and the use of showers just across the road at the sport centre. The sport centre is also very welcoming and you can also visit the bar and use their sport facilities.
There is also a farm shop on the camp site offering local produce for sale (very nice cheese!). A cooked breakfast is also just the job for setting you up for the day.
There is a regular bus service that takes you on a 10 minute trip into Weymouth town where you can find just about anything from large sandy beaches, shops and lots of places to eat.
