Lovely peaceful site. Birds and rabbits were the only company. Hardstanding, ehu, water and waste disposal.
Friendly landlord. Excellent food, restaurant quality, and a nice pint.
Choose your pitch, nobody bothers you but there if you need them.
Village shop/post office 10 min walk if you need anything.
Appreciate doesn't suit everyone but perfect for us.
Imagine its a different place in the summer,
We will certainly be going back to find out!

Great base camp with large pitches,
The pub offers great food and good beer.
We took our 2 dogs and found some great walks very close by to the site.
A short distance from Snape, Aldeburgh and Framlingham.

Felt obliged to leave a review as I don't feel that the previous reviews on the site do it justice. If you are browsing and reading the reviews you wouldn't contemplate staying here which doesn't seem fair to me. Saying that I would never contradict others views, each to their own.
If you like a quiet CL site in a lovely part of the world this is for you. Caravan and Motorhome Club CL site so you will need your membership number when phoning to book. The site is an easily accessible and in my opinion pretty site to the rear of a popular pub in the small village of Sibton just behind Peasenhall. Whilst located in the Pub grounds it feels private and is very relaxing.
CL so EHU, waste disposal, and water supply only. £15. 00 a night. Open all year. Makes a viable winter site for those without 4WD as the the site is pancake flat and the pitches are hard standings (sort of). Previous reviewer mentions that the hard standings are becoming overgrown, which is true, but that adds to the charm of the site for me, again each to their own!
We didn't explore the immediate area too much other than to walk the dogs along the pretty river Yox (more a stream). Slightly further afield (15 - 20 mins drive) are the delights of Southwold and Aldeburgh and all the pretty vilages between (Walbleswick, Dunwich, Eastbridge, Thorpeness). We could spend a full week in this area easily.
The pub itself is very nice serving a good pint of Adnams. The food is very good, if a bit expensive. They pitch at a certain level which for us, as a family of four means we would only eat there occasionally. They must be doing something right though because they are invariably booked up in advance. Check out their website for menu and prices.
We'd recommend it.

A basic site with just the minimum facilities plus EHU and hard-standing, which as motorhome owners we need this time of year. Agree with previous reviews that the site is rather in need of some TLC and the hard-standings are becoming overgrown with grass to the extent that it is difficult to define the pitches. It is a quiet site in a nice location though some attention from the landlord would have been nice. Food in the pub was 'up-market' and consequently expensive but very good.

Lovely quiet site, but on arrival hit a hole in the entrance breaking the casing on our motor mover, so not off to a good start. The tap was so far away making things difficult for an elderly person to pull a full water barrel.
The site was surrounded by banks of stinging nettles, it was untidy, unmowed and unfriendly, not a pretty site. Certainly not worth the £15 site fee

Must agree with the last two reviews. Would add that we were totally ignored by the landlord throughout our stay and not given a welcome or any information about the site. Price seemed high for the site conditions. We only used it because our sons family were on holiday in the cottage across the road. Will not return even if we revisit the area.

I have to agree. The CL seemed a little tired, needed smartening up, but a lovely location. You need deep pockets to eat here though. A little more TLC to the site would make the O/night rate a little easier to accept. The pitches are weedy with thistles, very quiet, there is nothing to make a noise.

After checking the complementary reviews on Google, Trip Advisor and UKCS, perhaps I was expecting more; unfortunately I was a little underwhelmed. I generally felt that, for an AA 4*, English Tourist Board 4 rosette establishment, the whole quality of decoration / finish seemed tired to me.
Apologies, but I cannot agree with the statement, “…one of the finest CL caravan sites. ” currently appearing on the website. The pitching area felt somewhat cramped and the hard standings are of the rolled in ballast type and were quite worn with many weeds growing through. The surrounding trees had a lot of nice bird song though.
Other than EHU; chemical disposal and water, there are no other facilities. You can use the pub wc during opening hours.
The pub itself, in my view was ordinary, but at around £30+ each for a 3 course meal including wine and coffee and a pint around £3. 60 - a little overpriced.
To sum up: Sorry, but just not my kind of solid good value 'pub site'.

We visited this lovely CL over the Easter weekend. The CL is in the grassy garden of the pub, it is a lovely quiet site in a small village. We really enjoyed having such a lovely pub on hand, the food and real ale were top quality and the owners very friendly and helpful. There are 5 level pitches with hardstanding. The pitches have electrical hook-up and you can use the pub toilets when it is open. If we are in the area again, we would definitely use this site.
