This is really just a paddock - and very basic. However, there are chickens and cows and horses and great walks through rough wooded area and across fields. We were very happy with it. Hook up power was good and water easy to access. Dog could run free. Owners were very relaxed. We would recommend this site.

We choose this site as it is fairly close to Cardiff. The last review is spot on and helped us know what to expect, the lane to it is very potholed and its easy to miss the site on the road. It’s also difficult if you meet anything on the track as its single lane. There seems to be quite a bit of storage at the farm of vehicles and pony’s so several times we did meet other traffic and had to reverse.
The field is a good size, but no marked pitches and all electric comes from one box at one point, which meant when we were there two units were linked by double leads across the field.
We didn’t use the toilet facilities so can’t comment.
The owner is very welcoming.
We were a bit concerned as at times there were 7 units on site.
There is a surprising amount of traffic noise, more like being near an A road, though at night it goes quieter. On exiting the site its safer and easier to turn left and go round the roundabout.
There is so much to do in the area, from shopping to exploring Cardiff or Penarth with its pier, Barry Island for amusements and arcades, and Barry itself has some lovely beaches.

I picked this site as was visiting an old school friend who lives in Penarth.I found this site on the Caravan Club website. The CL field is to the rear of the farm house and is close mown and sloping so levelling blocks needed. The outside toilet facility is a bit basic but usable (just) although most will prefer to use their own facilities. Owner is very pleasant and made us feel welcome.
The entrance to the site from either direction is not clearly signposted but fortunately there is a roundabout at either end of the road that passes it so if you over shoot you simply go round the roundabout (about 400 yds)and try again. The access road into the farm was very potholed when we went and so drive slow to avoid any damage to your car or van. Electric hookup tends to restrict you to just one side of the field but not really a problem. There are horses kept in an adjoining field which may be of interest to young children.
All in all it was a perfect location for us as it was just 10 minutes to our friend in Penarth and a very pleasant seafront and pier. Would be ideal for anyone going to the Millenium Stadium for a rugby match.
