 Pleasant owners, great little site for a stopover just off the A1.
Managed to get my 34ft RV no problem. We had a drink in the
Pub and the food looked good although we never ate.

Cosy traditional country pub, great atmosphere, sunday dinner to die for, reasonably priced drink, hosts were very welcoming and helpful,
Will definitely be back as very friendly and worth a stay at this price a must at £5. 00 AND ONLY £2. 00 FOR ELECTRIC.
Close to darlington /durham country veiws in every direction

A most enjoyable two night stay on two very wet October days. The small campsite adjoins the pub's car park, is level and has electric hook ups.
The pub had a new landlord, Mick, who had only been there a month and the site was something of a work in progress. He and his staff were all most helpful and welcoming.
Having bus passes, We chose the site for its proximity to a regular and frequent bus service that allowed us to leave the van and tour nearby Darlington and Bishop Auckland. The location of the pub is pretty desolate on the main A68 road with nowhere nearby to walk to, but that was fine with us.
Mick did not have an Elsan disposal point but was happy for us to empty down his pub's disabled toilet. As I say a very obliging man. We wil not hesitate to visit him again
