First time at this site, stayed many times in the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
Great place to stay, ski bus outside the site giving good access to the slopes. Fantastic scenery.
Will be back next year for a longer stay. Good facility's, for a good price.

Really good site in a stunning location in the Jungfrau. Booked 3 nights and stayed 7! Units tend to be a little close to each other but that isn't a real problem.
WiFi could be improved as range is rather short but a canopy is set-up for you to use if your unit is out of range. I would certainly be very happy to stay there again.
Facilities are kept clean and in good order. Small shop on site. The location is perfect for further touring on bicycle or on foot.
Cable cars within easy walking distance. Good bus service on road outside the site. Good roads for travelling by car.
Staff friendly and helpful.

Found this campsite through the ACSI book. Its very small and basic, but in an absolutely stunning location.
Ideally placed to cycle to the Trümmelbach waterfalls or into Lauterbrunnen itself (cross the stream at the back of the campsite and there's a very quiet road into the town).
Next door there is a farm with a milk vending machine - some of the freshest, most delicious milk we've ever tasted.
Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stumbled across this excellent campsite after finding all the campsites in Grindlewald were full to bursting. Yet this valley is just as suitable for the Jungfrau and the Eiger as the Grindlewald valley: we discovered that the trains cost practically the same, and take the same time to ascend to Kleine Scheidegg, high on the mountain between the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen Valleys.
Cost wise we were delighted to find it inexpensive - 40 Swiss Francs (2013) for a family of 4 per night. Good showers included in the price, and all facilities very clean and orderly.
The site is very flat (great if you're sleeping on the ground!). It didn't get too hot either, as the mountain walls provide shade from 4pm onwards (this was August). It was very quiet - not much traffic makes it this far down the valley - with the gurgle of the nearby stream and the far-off thunder of the various waterfalls on the rock walls nearby. We could just see the top of the Monch (4, 100m peak)above the waterfall, and other mountains at the end of the valley that caught the evening sunlight, glowing red as the sun set. A spectacular, lovely and wonderfully memorable location. I would recommend this campsite to anyone.
For those with young children, there is an on-site children's' playground. The only downside of the campsite is that there is no WI-FI (possibly due to the surrounding rock walls). There is a campsite shop that sold bread, milk and beer (and other essentials!) even on a Sunday when all other shops are shut. The owner was very friendly and always available - even for late arrivals like ourselves, arriving at 9pm at night. Definitely the best campsite in the area - after trying to get into 5 others in Grindlewald and Lauterbrunnen (all full, cramped and not as good) we wished we'd tried this one first!

We have a permanently sited caravan at Camping Breithorn. The site is extremely well-run by the owner, Silvia von Allmen, and is well situated as a base to explore the Jungfraujoch region on foot or by using the cog-railway from Lauterbrunnen. And from the Stechelberg cable-car, a twenty-minute walk from the site, one can explore Gimmelwald, Murren, or further cable-car to Piz Gloria.
The campsite has clean, modern toilet and shower facilities, mains hook-up and an on-site shop that sells anything you might need. Alternatively Lauterbrunnen is only 25-minutes walk or five-minutes by bus from outside the campsite. The amazing Trummelbach falls are a few minutes walk, and can be heard from the camp!
The camp is, compared with other campsites in the valley, very competitively priced.
