On booking our holiday I checked to find that it was not £9 as advertised but £11 per night. We were told to settle ourselves down and someone would call-in to see us. On arriving we found the sat nav took us past on to the Golf Club. The site entrance is poorly signed so easily missed as it is on a bend on what can be a fast road. On entering the site we found it to look somewhat derelict the site sloped slightly upwards from the gate to the top to the left of the gate the field sloped somewhat sharp to the corner. We found the grass to be approx 6/8 inches long, the elsan point was easy to find along the hedge adjacent to the road. This consisted of a hole covered by sleepers one with one and half handles for lifting off; to empty your loos, plus tap to rinse them. I then found the drinking water tap in the bottom lowest farthest corner looking back to the gate on the right. The site is aprox 3. 5 acres. ONE tap to supply the site situated at the farthest point possible, this is not acceptable nor was the elsan point as in the summer you would not have to look for it, and this was in close proximity to the bus stop on the other side of the hedge.
There was no form of security nobody called to see us; Other campers came stayed and went on their way. One couple said they phoned the Caravan Club to complain re the standard of the site.
We found that on more than one accession the elsan water tap to be used to fill drinking water containers. There were no signs showing where the tap was. They welcomed children and dogs on the site NO dog walking area, so you would have to hope all was cleaned up.
We arrived on a Friday on the following Thursday the grass was cut this left great clods of wet grass treading in to the van. We then met the owners we were told that we were the only ones to complain about the grass as people like it to be long.
WE then made an offer of reduced payment which was reluctantly accepted and we parted company.
This site is a complete joke and is not up to the standard that I would expect from the Caravan Club this site is the worst site we have stayed on and is well over priced in my opinion as there are no amenities. It may pay to take a list of other sites with you as backup in the future if this standard is to be expected.

We booked this site for the 2nd week of July which was the first full week of the heat wave. We had a great week, the site is in a great location near Dartmouth, it has a bus stop right outside and a park and ride a couple of miles up the road towards Dartmouth. Sainsburys is nice and local for shopping but they also deliver to the site via their online service which was great. The site is not completely flat so you may need levellers but it is huge with all the pitches around the edge and plenty of room to spread out. The road alongside is quite busy but not enough to keep you awake or wake you up early. Good food at the golf club a few minutes walk from the site and a fab fish restaurant in Dartmouth called rockfish is well worth a visit. There are wardens on site who are helpful and friendly and can give you some recommendations on the local pubs. All in all great site, great price, great location.

We visited this site because we wanted to be close to the South West Coast Path in this area and to be able to reach Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Totnes, all great places to visit.
The site is very easily accessible from the road with none of the awkward narrow or twisted accesses we have become used to struggling with, and also the field is generally very flat. About 4 acres leaves plenty of room for everyone to have a good area of privacy and there are plenty of hook ups to choose from. One of the things we liked was that there are no ‘best position’ pitches so even if you are last to arrive you still get as good a pitch as everyone else.
Having a bus stop right outside the side was an additional bonus for us and really easy to get to Lidl and Sainsbury’s just along the road at the edge of Dartmouth, what more could we wish for ease of shopping. Woodlands Family Theme Park is close by well within walking distance so anyone with children are very well catered for.
For us the main attraction was of the site location and its close proximity to various points of the famous South West Coast Path enabling us to cover the path from west of Salcombe to Torquay without too much commuting. We thought the site was quite excellent value including electric hook up and well managed too.

We visited this ideally located site at the end of June and found it quite excellent in all aspects. The site entrance is directly off the main road so there are no narrow lanes or awkward bends to negotiate to get onto the site.
The field is very large, I imagine 3-4 acres so there is plenty of space way back from the road giving very large pitches and choice of well spaced electric hook up points. The grass was nice and short on this level field and the charges including electricity seem very reasonable.
The site is truly ideal in location for visiting the fantastic Woodlands Family Theme Park, the largest in the South West directly opposite, which make for very convenient family days out without the need to get in the car.
Also directly in front of the Campsite is a bus stop for convenient transport to the fantastic town of Dartmouth which is only about 4 miles away.
The facilities for boat trips, eating and drinking and delightful sightseeing, Britannia Naval College etc in Dartmouth are truly amazing.
Kingsbridge, Totnes and Salcombe are not far away by bus or car all lovely places to visit. For food shopping there are Lidl, Sainsbury’s, Marks and Spencer Food Store and Co-op stores in Dartmouth.
Don’t forget to check out the River Dart car ferries, one at each end of Dartmouth town. The Lower Ferry is especially interesting, floats attached to tug boats. There are several small ferries taking trips from the embankment to the famous castles at the mouth of the harbour well worth a visit.
We will certainly be visiting Higher Dreyton Farm in the future.
