We visited this site during the school holidays.

From initial appearance at the entrance it looked extremely rundown and driving up the short rough road my wife was saying 'where have you brought me?'

However, the camping field was very pleasant.

The pitches are very good sized, and very quiet.

The site slopes but the owners have dug sleepers in so pitching on these the van will be level.

The facilities are poor and dirty. I don't think the shower was washed all week!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this site.

Stayed here over the hottest heatwave weekend in July for a 3 night long weekend.

The owners are very polite, friendly but discreet.

The site consists of one camping field with 8 hookups on one side used by touring caravans on that weekend, and the other side of the field was for non-hookup tenters. There are two fresh water taps at either end of the field.

We could pitch where we wanted on the tenters side, and you can park next to your unit.

The small toilet block is old fashioned but functioned well enough. There are two toilet cubicles, two wash basins, and one lockable electric shower cubicle/changing area at the end (but strangely no shower curtains within) in both Gents and Ladies. There is no charge for the showers and they are basic domestic electric units - nothing fancy or powerful, but they sufficed for our long weekend.

There is NO hot water in the wash basins, just a cold tap for hand rinsing and teeth brushing. It was all kept very clean and well stocked. No real problems to report.

There is no dish washing up area, which didn't bother us for a weekend, but probably would be a nuisance on longer tent stays. We just washed up our few plates, mugs and cutlery etc in a bowl from our kettle as we went along.

I gather there is an Elsan point for emptying toilets, but we had no use for it.

We loved this site because of its simplicity, and the fact that it is a STRICTLY adults site. Polite warning signs greet you as you drive in, so no screaming kids or barking dogs running around = our idea of Heaven!

The site is really well located for an easy walk to New Hedges, Saundersfoot and Tenby, and there are ample bus services which run until around 10. 45pm from bus stops in New Hedges, a 5 mins walk away.

The easiest place for grocery shopping is the Co-op in nearby Kilgetty, with a large free car park, so no hassle of parking charges in Saundersfoot for Tesco, or the multi-storey in Tenby for Sainsbury's.

The cheapest place to drink is BB's Bar and Restaurant in the nearby Broadfield Farm caravan park, which is open to all and MUCH cheaper than the pubs in town (by over £2 a round!). They have a large decked beer garden with awesome views. They also do a cracking Sunday carvery which is very generous suiting big appetites, and all within a 5 minute walk.

We can't recommend any other eateries as we cooked most of our meals 'al fresco tentside'. But there are ample places in walking distance and even a chip shop takeaway in nearby Rumbleway caravan park.

Red House Farm is not for 'Glamping'. If you like the company of adults, old fashioned camping as it should be and can do without clubhouses, playgrounds, super-pitches and flashy facilities then this site is ideal. A totally relaxing, laid back, quiet site within easy distance of all the action if you want it. We loved it and intend to return as soon as possible.

Site has 8 electrical connections. Nice quiet site about 1. 5 miles from centre of tenby.

Clean toilets, only being two mens toilets and two ladies toilets in each block, with two wash basins (no hot water) in each one. One shower in each this of course as hot water, at no cost to campers. There was no facilities for washing dishes, which would make things difficult if you where in a tent.

There is a toilet waste point which you can flush, also very clean. Slightly sloping site.

Exceptionally polite and friendly site owners. No children or dogs allowed which suited us fine.

Will definitely go to this site again

We stayed here for a few nights in the summer and found it to be an excellent base for exploring Tenby and the surrounding area.

We are both schoolteachers and don't have pets, so were quite happy to find a child-free and pet-free site! This is a simple, quiet site with plenty of space between units.

The owners are very friendly. The toilets/showers are perfectly clean and functional.

We thought the site was excellent value for money and would happily return if we were visiting the area again.
