We stayed here on 21/06/24 for one night
The site is ok but the price at £30 a night with electric and only one toilet, no shower was too much
But this is only my thoughts

No frills farm campsite with everything you need for a relaxing break. For the more adventurous there is a footpath direct from the site leading to forest trails.
There you can find a bike hire shop, café etc but be prepared to hike for it.
The Fox and Rabbit pub is on your doorstep for a meal and a drink or two, or just sit outside your van watching farming life and listening to the copious amount of bird song.
About a mile away in Lockton you can find the sweetest little gallery and tearoom selling lots of home made food.
Great spot can’t wait to visit again.

Lovely CL on the edge of Dalby Forest. All hardstanding with good power provision and picnic bench for each pitch. Pub is excellent, friendly and has great food.
One downside, the toilet, which is 'back yard' style (very cold in winter) is a very long walk from the pitches.

Everything you could want from a CL. Nice and quiet despite it being right on the main Pickering-Whitby road. Earlier reviewers mentioned an on-site toilet, that doesn't seem to be there anymore. You need to pass through 2 gates to get to the site, a minor inconvenience if you're travelling with someone but could be a real pain if you're on your own. The hard standings are nicely levelled and each pitch has its own picnic bench and parasol which is a nice touch. Only 4 miles from Pickering which is a lovely town with all the amenities you need and equidistant between Whitby and Scarborough (about 19 miles to each). The pub is lovely but geared more to the diner than the drinker (although the Timothy Taylors is a great pint!) The food is decent quality and fairly reasonably priced. It's dog-friendly if that's your thing and the staff are lovely too!
All in all a great visit which we're sure to repeat at some point.

Booked site in advance and left phone number so I could be contacted. On arriving at 5. 30pm we were told they were closed. I can understand why as a working farm and it was very mucky due to wet weather but they could of let us know. Left trying to find somewhere else to stay, site at the pub was full and across the road was closed. May be ok in the summer but won't be returning to find out.

Used 5 pitch caravan club field, gravel roads and hardstandings make this an ideal 12 month site. A single toilet has been added to the site. Direct access from site into Dalby forest so ideal for Walkers/Bikers. Excellent pub/restaurant which is dog friendly. Whitby, Scarborough, Flamingoland, Eden camp plus lots more all within 30 mins drive. Will be visiting again.

Nice site. Farmer and his wife could not be more helpful. As said before it's basic but flat and sheltered.
The pub is next door which serves good food and beer. What more could you want.
Dalby forest is 1 mile away with miles of mountain biking and walking.
There are plenty of power hook ups around the site and the usual CDP etc.
Price was £12 per night inc. Hook up.
The early morning view over the mist priceless.

Stayed at this site for two nights due to it's proximity to Dalby Forest.
Fantastic quiet sheltered site but it is basic, no toilets or showers. We just used ours in the van, that's the beauty of a campervan! There are EHUs if you need it and there is a water tap and CDP. The CDP also has a tap next to it which is handy. The site is level so there is no need for chocks etc. Dogs are allowed but must be kept under control on the site as it is a working farm. However, they can have a good run round off the lead in the forest.
You can walk or cycle into Dalby Forest directly from the site. Be prepared if you take the footpath at the side of the site into the forest, it's a steep walk back. However, if I managed it without too much problem, then I think most people can. If you're on a bike, follow the road past the site and you're in!
Site is behind the Fox and Rabbit pub which is handy! Pub does great food(massive portions) and has a good selection of beers. Just what you need after a day out and about. There's a small but very well stocked shop at Lockton and there is also a vegetable / fruit / egg stall in front of the pub with an honesty box for payment. There are larger shops / cafes / chippys etc at Thornton le Dale and Pickering which are close by.
There is plenty to do in the area, Pickering Castle, North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, Dalby Forest / Go Ape / Mountain biking, Yorkshire coast, walking etc. It's difficult to get bored!
We really enjoyed our stay here and I was pleased we'd found this campsite, we will be returning again very soon.
