 This is a very pleasant campsite in the northern Black Forest. It's on a hilltop with views of the surrounding countryside, and just a 5 minute walk from the picturesque old town of Dornstetten, with its half-timbered houses. The good-sized pitches are grassy and level, numbered but not demarcated in any way. There are more permanent pitches than touring pitches, but they are quite separate, on a lower level than the tourers.
The toilet facilities are excellent, with nice roomy showers. There are special facilities for small children, and even a shower for dogs!
We had a simple but pleasant meal in the restaurant, but there may well be a more extensive menu in high season. There is a small shop in the reception area. Other facilities include a small swimming pool with a children's pool, and a beach volleyball pitch.
This site is open all year and is popular with people who come for the winter sports. We used it as an overnight halt on our way to Italy, but it would be a good base for anyone who enjoys walking and exploring the Black Forest.
