 Stayed on this site for one night, wished we could have stayed another night but had to return to work, boo! The weather was fantastic and we were the only ones there!
Great but basic site, no toilets/ showers or EHU but that didn't affect us, that's the beauty of a campervan! There is a fresh water tap and CDP (with tap for washing out). The site is sheltered, very quiet and level, no need for chocks etc. There are some static caravans on the site heading towards the river but they are in a separate area and can't be seen from the touring site.
There is a great walk along the river which is accessed directly from the site, which the dog loved and it was great watching the boats going past.
Don't know how near the local shops are as we'd stocked up at the massive Tescos on the outskirts of York before arriving.
The site is very well placed for York yet feels in the middle of nowhere, perfect! Great for star gazing at night as there is no light pollution. There is a Park and Ride for York about 15 mins drive away which is handy.
Overall, I loved this site, especially at £5 per night for 2 adults and 1 dog. We will return to this site again this summer.
