I Have stayed at this site many times over the last 12 years.
It has improved every visit very friendly site and facilities excellent depending on what you want.
Hope to go back next year as have now bought a caravan.
Would recommend this site to anyone with children.

Currently staying at the site and after 2 previous visits, have to say the site has gone downhill.
Have no way of contacting staff now that people are letting off fireworks on the site.
Children witnessing people having sex in the indoor pool - was reported but nothing has been done
No staff visible other than at reception (poor for a 500 plus pitch site)
No security patrols at all, so noise is quite awful - as said, 3rd visit, and we returned as it used to be a lovely site, but will never come back again.

Enjoyed our stay on this campsite, travelled from another site near Le Mans so arrived mid afternoon, no issues with booking in perfect English spoken and led to our emplacement following a bike.
Estimate 80/90 m2 with a water point and electricity both std EHU socket (reverse polarity) and french socket normal priority! so please use a tester.
J area close to toilet block with both male and female sections showers and toilets clean and were cleaned everyday @ 08:00.
Several pools did not use pool with baby section but used slide pool daily can get busy but did not fail to get a sunbed after a little wait, often > 5pm (open until 20:00) plenty of beds.
Walked to local beach but as others advise if you are carrying any beach toys! use carpark as walk through dunes.
St Jean can get busy but always able to park and please look up up centre on market day very different to beach front.
Would visit again but with travel further south in area first as we prefer surf beaches.

Stayed here again (previously stayed 2013 with a trailer tent), and was as good as we remembered.
On a slightly different pitch this time (with friends we had pitches A02 through to A05) which were mixed - a couple had trees in the middle (A04 & 5), whereas the other 2 were very sunny pitches.
Toilets. - unisex just down the road, but around the corner were mixed toilets, and the toilet waste was emptied in these toilets.
Fully serviced pitches, but drainage a little slow - could be due to leaves etc?
Pools - 4 pools, of which caters for all, a toddlers pool and open pool on the main side of the site, and an indoor (with jacuzzi type) pool and slide pool on the other side of the site (accessed under the bridge)
Spacious pitches, but electricity is reversed, so be aware.
Bar has entertainment nightly (although we didn't take advantage of this) and has a happy hour for the local brew each day.
Nearby is the town of St Jean De Monts, which has 2 largish supermarkets (and impatient locals with trolleys to boot), both have petrol stations.
Plenty of eating places within walking distance of the camp, and the beach is a 15 min walk from the site.
If you arrive late (as we unfortunately did due to an issue with the car) they have a late arrivals area within the site so you can still drop the kegs and get some sleep.
Will more than likely return in a few years once we have visited other parts of Europe.

Excellent but busy site, large pitches, great facilities (don't forget your own toilet paper), well stocked shop on site (expensive but no more than expected), excellent take away (freshly made pizzas), pools indoor and out door were fairly busy but seats and sun loungers soon became available, on the whole very good.

Great site. In between St Jean du monts and notre dame du monts. Plenty of washing facilities. Reception very helpful and staff speak good English. The shop on site is a bit steep but you have lidl, super u. And intermarche very close. The take away is very nice if you can't be asked to cook but there are plenty of restaurants near by. St Jean can get very busy during peak times and notre dame is quieter. The beaches in vendee are very nice but canned windy. The campsite is very nice where you have a choice of the 3 pools. Indoor, outdoor. And the slides. There two parts to the site where one part is in a forest and the other part is grass pitches. So if you having a bbq please check first regarding charcoal and gas. But all pitches are ok size.

We travelled with another family and stayed 11 nights before moving on to camping 4Vents near Paris. Another family met up with us the next week for 5 days.
We booked with caravan & camping club and weren't disappointed. We didn't have any problems with reservations or ferry bookings.
After a long drive through the night and arriving mid afternoon we were met by friendly staff who spoke very good English.
We were shown to our pitches by a lady on her bike with all our pitches together.
The pitches were a good size with EHU (reverse Polarity), water and bordered by hedges.
The washrooms were unisex and kept clean. There was plenty of room in the showers and some little baths for little ones. Remember to take your own toilet paper.
The pools were very good with 5 slides at the main pool.
The pool near reception seemed sheltered from the breeze so felt warmer. There wasn't enough sunbeds at this pool.
The beaches was a 15 minute walk from the back off the site. If you have a lot off beach gear or Kayak like we did then left out of the site and left at the roundabout is a free car park with a short walk on to the beach.
ST jean de Monts is any 10 minutes by car with a good beach. All the parking is free. The beach can get a bit windy.
The bar seem ok but didn't really use it. The kids went down in the evening to play pool and it was always busy.
There are little play areas around the site for little children and football/basketball area and table tennis for the older children.

It was our first time camping in France and it won't be the last.
The site is situated off the main road with a tunnel connecting the two parts of the campsite.
After a long drive down overnight we found the staff to be very pleasant when checking in and were then taken to our pitch that was bordered by 4 hedges over 2m high, with just an opening for the car to access. Lovely. Power on the pitch was reliable throughout our stay and there are water points on each pitch also.
The toilet blocks were generally well kept and were cleaned around midday, usually after and before the morning/evening rush. They are unisex and you don't have to wait long for a shower to become free a peak times.
The pools were excellent for the little ones and the slides great for the older children and adults alike. As is normal with sun beds, there are far too many early risers and hoggers, and not enough beds! But we noticed that around 12-3 pm (maddogs and Englishmen time) the beds became free, with the pools getting busier again after 3pm.
The shop is well stocked and if you can't be bothered with the sometimes heavy traffic upto the super market (Super you & Intermarche) it was ideal, especially with fresh bread and pastries in the mornings.
We didn't sample the evening entertainment at the bar area so cannot comment on this as we prefer to chill out by our tent.
The local beaches are great and it is worthwhile having a drive out to the other beaches as some of these were stunning.
If there was anything to be improved on it would be the current layout of the toilets with the urinals next to the entrances of the toilets with no screening whatsoever, if this is a continental approach then maybe it is just us seeing this format for the first time.

We have stayed on this campsite many times over the last 10 years, in mobile homes, tents and touring caravans.
Booking in is quick and efficient, and you are shown to your pitch. You are also given an information pack about the area, which is good.
The great thing about this site is that when you book you can choose what kind of pitch you like sandy/grassy or sunny/shady. The grassy and sunnier pitches tend to be on the side of the campsite which is through the tunnel, and has been developed over the last few years. The height of the tunnel is 2. 65m.
The pitches are large, and there are also some extremely large ones which can be booked at extra cost. One thing we really like about this site is that you can pitch up and also put up a gazebo or a pup tent etc and that is okay.
The pitch we had had electricity, water and waste water (which also functioned as a chemical toilet disposal point). Fridges can also be hired and are delivered to your pitch.
There is a bar on site where the staff are very friendly. The takeaway is good, especially the pizza. The restaurant is quite good, and you can also eat in the bar, which has a lovely outside space. There is usually some entertainment in the bar.
There are small playgrounds dotted about for the younger ones, and there is also a multi use games area which also has table tennis tables, as well as an outdoor and an indoor pool, with slides.
Where we were (the grassy side), the shower blocks were always clean. There are also baby baths and a larger shower if you have to bathe children. There are good sinks for washing pots, clothes, and for preparing vegetables.
There are lots of beautiful beaches near this campsite, and lots of walks and cycle rides in the nearby pine forest.
There is always a good mix of nationalities on this site, with many French people as well as British, Irish and Dutch.
It is a site I recommend to other people and am looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Les Amiaux is situated on the northern edge of St Jean de Monts. It straddles the main road, with a tunnel to link the indoor pool to the main part of the site. It is a short and easy five minute cylcle to the beach and about fifteen minutes into St Jean. The site has direct access to the cycle path and the quieter back road to town.
The site itself is large and busy. It has both indoor and outdoor pool which the kids loved. There are plenty of toilet blocks, but I found these varied in terms of cleanliness, and chose to use one slightly further from our pitch! As is not unusual in France, you need your own loo roll, but at over £40pn I thought a bit of a cheek!
The shop is well stocked and all the staff very friendly. The pitches are a good size and separated by large hedges. It is a mixed site with mobile homes, Eurocamp tents as well as touring units all mixed in together.
This is a very touristy area, and the site is nice if you like that kind of thing!
