This site is our favourite if we want to visit Dinan and area. Despite information elsewhere (i. E. From a reviewer a CC guide) the site is still a municipal. The site has a fair number of residential statics and a few for hire as well as a couple sites near the entrance. The 'acceuill' is relatively new and is not open throughout the day, however if there is space available the barrier is left open and there is usually a note on the door advising whether any particular place has been reserved. We paid just over 20 euros a night.

The is a very nice heated swimming pool and surrounding area plus a small bar where you can order fries, waffles etc and also buy a coffee ice-cream and order bread. There is a small selection of everyday items too (this gradually reduces as closure approaches). Cycle hire is available including assisted e-bikes.

Pitches ar generally large and grouped in fours between high hedges - personally I wouldn't want to be at the rear on one the groups of four, having said that we have never ever found the site to be full. It is usually manned by local students and they are very helpful. Dinan has all the facilities one would expect and is a very interesting visit. Dinard and St Malo are quite close as are several seaside villages.

One thing to note is that it seemed that the local community has access to the pool at certain time.

We arrived here at the end of the season, when much of the site was closed. The pitches are large, level, grass and set in groups of 4, delineated by a mature hedges

The toilet blocks are large and modern, but the hot water was on the tepid side. Could be a problem if it persisted in high season. There was a large, modern swimming pool for the campers and a small cafe beside it. It is hard to remember that this is a municipal site.

The new reception and information centre is only open 1 hour in the morning and evening. There is no disco, Karaoke or noise in the evening, and probably not a first choice for teenagers

There are no shops/bakery on site but a a HyperU supermarket at Taden-Dinan, about 3 miles down the road.

The site is beautifully placed geographically, mid way between St Malo and Dinan (about 6 miles in each direction) and Mont St Michel. It is on the river Rance with walks along the tow path and a 'voie verte' passing by the front entrance.

It is very tranquil off season and photos showed it quite lively around the pool and cafe in high season.

There is a lot of holiday development around the area with a marina and gites in the process of construction, so may become more trendy in future.

It is worth a second visit
