Beautifully-kept site with beautiful view across a valley, on a working farm which also has cottages for rent, so if you want to take your caravan and meet friends who haven't got one, this would be a good choice.
Towing easy, except for a very short, winding uphill bit on the road from Burniston, but though relatively inexperienced, we were still fine.
Facilities are: CDP, tap, bins and hardstanding, the awning goes on grass. Just the kind of site we like.
The farmer is very informative and friendly.
The site is next to a road, where you get the odd car during the day and at night you can hear a pin drop.
We had a takeaway from one of the pubs in the village, The Oak Wheel, which was very good.
£15 a night in August.

Fantastic View
Quiet site.
Convenient for visiting Scarborough and the Yorkshire cost.
Does not have any showers or loos.
As such the price of £14 a night (inc power) is quite expensive, but the view in the morning makes it almost worth it.

Harwood Dale is a beautiful remote place to stay with stunning scenery and central to many of the lovely seaside resorts. I was able to visit enchanting Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Bogglehole, Ravenscar, Scarborough, Filey also Bridlington and had many 'WOW what a view' moments walking along the Cleveland Way paths. We cannot wait to return - everyone should have at least one visit.
