Second stay on this site after the BCDO in Wiston Estate.
As before, really great stay with no issues at all.
Owner very friendly and helpful, and all facilities worked as required.
Grass is long but not an issue for us and this is a working farm with 5 caravans so as you would expect. As it is a farm, there are many animals to view and enjoy, especially the Guinea Fowls.
Good location for some very pleasant surrounding villages, Steyning and Storrington both worth a visit, .
Will definite book again after the BCDO next year.
Thank you Buncton Manor

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Lovely site great position. However grass is too long and needs to be cut more frequently. Toilets and showers are portaloos
We will visit this site again.
Horses and livery on site but not sure if riding available?
Site is not very level so chocks are required to get your van level

Stayed on a grass pitch with hook up. Clean and tidy with plenty of space. Owner very friendly. Horses and ducks to amuse the children. While we were there the facilities were adequate, may struggle if full. Great place to walk up to the South Downs from. Nearby Steyning is worth a visit and one can walk to Washington village easily. Thought it good value as a caravan site.

Camped for four nights. Camp field clean and tidy, grass fairly short, and level. Friendly site owner. A lot of useful info, was on display. Toilets clean shower looked clean.
Local chapel, with footpath leading to very nice tea shop.
Would visit again as very good value at £10. 00 per night.
We do Geocaching and will comeback to find more caches.
Would recommend.

We also attended the Great Event that was The Big Church day Out and decided to stay for an extra night and thought ourselves fortunate to find Buncton Manor Camp site almost opposite the field we had stayed in for the Bank Holiday.
I had not read any reviews previously and I am glad I had not as I might have been put off and missed, what my wife and I thought was a very pleasant site.
The owner who opened the door to me I found most friendly and helpful and the £12 I paid I thought was good value. (Electric Included)
I am not sure what was expected by the other reviewers, but this a small site advertising for only 5 caravans, so don't expect a heated toilet block, but I found the toilet (both of them) more than adequate and very clean, even a loo brush provided.
Yes they are Porta Cabin types, but so what, you are only in and out!
I did not use the shower as we have our own in the caravan, but it did look clean and tidy to me and there are clear directions how to set the temperature.

I saw the first review of this site the day we went away (last Friday) and was horrified. I tried to book elsewhere in the area but couldn't (bank holiday, jubilee etc. ). We couldn't cancel as we had tickets to a Christian music festival - The Big Church Day Out!
I'm sad to say that the first review was correct. Firstly, the cost for camping is exorbitant, thankfully we also had a caravan in our party (the price for these is fixed) so our children 'slept in the van' with Granny and Grandad!
On arrival we were greeted by the male owner - he was warm and friendly - there were none of the problems with areas being out of bounds, road noise etc. As mentioned in the previous review. The field and surrounds were picturesque. So far so good.
It is very much downhill from there. There are two portaloos, one newer than the other. Both smelt awful and were not cleaned once in the five nights of our stay. Thankfully we have a porta potti so were able to use this, not what you want though in a tent. The shower on day one was not overly pleasant but was warm. On days two and three it was stone cold. We tried to get in touch with the owner but with no joy - we literally banged on the door, rang the door bell etc. On day four my wife spoke to the owner's son who contacted his father and then fiddled with the shower. The shower was then far too hot; I scalded my head under it. The next morning it was stone cold again.
Thankfully Granny and Grandad were on hand to help us out, wash the kids in their van etc.
Overall: the Big Church Day Out was absolutely fantastic, this site was not.

Management response: We are sorry to see that Mr Leah-Garratt did not enjoy his stay here and that he thought that £7 per person per night for camping was exorbitant.
The portaloos were cleaned during their stay so I think the smell was coming from the adjacent CDP.
As we live and work on site to say we were not available is not correct. I spoke to Granny when she checked in, during her stay when she was walking the dog and at the end of their stay when she settled up and she did not mention any problems.
We have rewritten the instructions for the shower to try to avoid problems with it.

As we approached the site we saw a lovely house with a duck pond in front. How lovely we thought.
We were staying here with friends who have a tent and need facilities. On booking we were told that they had just installed a new shower and so our friends would need to pay double the rate for camping. To cut a long story short, we had left it late to book and it was a bank holiday - enough said! So, our friends agreed to pay.
The new facility was a portashower. The toilet was a porta toilet.
The area to pitch was in a semi circle on medium/long grass with a centre circle of very long grass. At the edges of the camping field were pieces of old farm machinery which did not provide an attractive backdrop. Neither did the loud and consistent road noise. Although the fields behind were lovely and there is a super walk.
Unsurprisingly we complained. The owner's husband was unmoved and very rude and basically told us it was 'tough'.
We tried desperately to find alternative accommodation but none was available. We were faced with either returning home or braving it out for two nights until we could move to the only available pitch we could find. So, having 5 pairs of pleading eyes, this is what we did.
The owner then had the audacity to ask the children not to play in the long grass in the centre of the field as he was going to use it for the animals! We are talking about an area the size of a badminton court?
