Stop off on the way north.
Super little site very quiet and lovely lovely views (Jodrell Bank visible from the site)
Great pub that does good food is a walk across along a marked path across the fields.
Loo and shower only but they were clean
Will use again when I need to break a journey north.

Although members of C&MC, found this CL site through UKCampites. As C&MC members, we had a selection of at least 5 pitches to our selves.
Well maintained site with super spaced pitches offering superb views. Good security with coded gates. There is free WiFi which works well.
There is one toilet & 1 shower for our use. There wasn't any communal washing up areas. Electric hook up is available but on a metred supply given the recent hikes in commercial power charges. We were there for two nights and used less than £1 - mainly for phone/tablet charging & Leisure battery trickle charge.
Conveniently situated about 10 - 12 minutes from the Holmes Chapel junction on M6. Would highly recommend this site for either short or long stays and would book again if we are in the area.

This is a lovely small CC CL, easy to find, with a security barrier for security. We had a nice warm welcome from the owner who gave us a choice of pitches.
EHU and water were right next to the pitch, we had a lovely bed of colourful plants in the corner and a tall hedge one side making it quite private.
No other facilities available in the campsite, CDP was just outside the barrier.
Good dog walking area a quick two minutes down the main road and a shop that sold fresh bread, cakes etc that was very popular with the locals.
Only a couple of caravans there at the time, both visiting family, very friendly.
Didn't make it to either pub as just too hot to walk far (not complaining though!).

We found this site by chance. Having being stuck on the M6 for hours we needed to bed down for the night. We called at short notice i. E 10 mins before arriving and the gentleman was very accommodating.
We only stayed for one night but we wished it could have been longer. It is set in picturesque surroundings and although very small it has well manicured lawns and beds full of summer bedding plants.
The only facilities available were electric hook up and water but that was not a problem as we used all the facilities in our caravan.
All in all this was a very friendly site and the regulars caravaners already pitched up seemed very friendly. We have decided to go back for a week soon if they have space.

Just love this site we stayed for 2 nights but would loved to have stayed more so we are going back in july.
Lovely walks for the dogs from the site and 2 pubs just a short walk away.
The owners are fantastic and make you very welcome.

One of the smallest CLs we have used, surrounded by high hedges which make it feel even more cramped. Access is fine; you will be driving east on Goostrey Lane when following the CC book directions, look out for the wood on the left and the site is down a short drive opposite. It's level and appears to be well drained.
There is a large CO-OP with a garage on the outskirts of Holmes Chapel in the direction of the motorway.
We would be reluctant to use this site again due its very small size (and difficulty in obtaining a Sky Signal), but it's ok for a night halt due to its situation, about 3 miles from the M6. Price is £10 per night with ehu.
