 Good location and access to tourist sites around.
Not enough toilets and showers for the numbers of customers, by a long way. Also no urinals in the male units, which made it worse. At busy times it was quite unpleasant

This site has a lot of plus points including the friendly welcome and it’s immaculately laid out and presented with almost new facilities.
There are gorgeous views and it’s within walking distance of the town and The Hirshel country park. We were booked for two nights on a gravel pitch with electric hook up.
Only some of the gravel pitches are level (the ones in the first run nearest the toilets) so you’ll need chocks.
The turn off for us was the people staying in the caravans and pods with hot tubs. It was Friday night and time to party with loud music, booze, shouting and swearing and eventually arguing outside in the hot tubs. It completely spoiled our visit so, despite having booked and paid for two nights, we left after one night and went elsewhere.

Nice camp site in walking distance of Coldstream. Plenty of hiking around and near by.
Campsite staff were friendly and helpful.
The only down side we found was the 2 able person showers were little use than a dripping tap, but the disabled facility has a proper shower, which people were obviously using due to the other showers not being very good.
Toilet facilities clean, but only 3 toilets for a pretty big site.
However, after saying that it wouldn't stop us returning again at some point.

After a last minute booking we where squeezed in but would be fare to say they didn't squeeze us in.
The pitch was a great size with a hookup.
The site was clean and well looked after with clean functioning ablutions.
The only issue would have been the water pressure for the showers was a little low.
Other than that site and staff where fantastic.

Having arrived very late due to breakdown and RAC nightmare, after midnight, we were met by the site warden. He let us in to the site and even offered a coffee. What a lovely gent.
Site facilities excellent.
