Spent one night at Raven Hill and wished it could have been longer. We chose this site as we were taking my nieces away for a night and the games room sounded a good option if the weather wasn't too great.
Raven Hill is a basic site (no toilets or showers) but all the facilities are clearly signed. I think they have plans, in the future, to convert a farm building into a toilet/shower block.
The camping field is large, well maintained and mainly flat. It is split in half by a fence. It is sheltered on three sides and has views of the Yorkshire Wolds from the remaining side.
The other side of the field has a horse and a few sheep in it. The site feels remote as the road to it ends at the farm; there is no passing traffic so it is very peaceful. We were the only ones staying at this site which was fantastic. The owners were friendly and happily answered any questions that we had. They even gave us some free farm fresh eggs which my nieces very happy loved eating.
The games room is located near the farm house and has a dart board, pool table, table tennis and a cd player. My nieces loved the games room and were very happy playing pool.
The site is located between Kilham and Langtoft where there are a couple of pubs that serve food; we didn't get the chance to try them on this occasion. There aren't many shops near the site but it is a short drive to Driffield where there is a tescos and other shops.
We will happily return to this site and it was a great price of £8 a night for 2 adults, 2 children and a dog.
