Site is in a good location and very handy for Stratford, Banbury etc. However it is on a noisy road.
Camped in a very nice field with lots of tress surrounding and some good footpaths nearby for lovely walks across edgehill and to the nearby villages.
There is a clay pigeon shooting place down the road, which might upset nervous dogs (or adults).
Electric meters are a good idea to keep costs down (we used very little in our vw campervan)
The showers and toilets are very basic and need updating. Also they were not cleaned during our stay.

Far too many people every pitch was taken, no social distancing.
Amenities for the amount of people was not good enough, problems with hot water every morning. Mens urinal leaking and also flooded from shower.
No short walks to pubs etc. Unless 40 mins on a terrifying walk on a road with no sidewalks is your thing.
£30 per night would expect so much more.

Nice little campsite. Very friendly, quiet even though quite busy.
Didn't need to queue for the facilities.
Just what we needed at the end of a busy week.
Would recommend.

Very basic toilet/shower block, a couple of shelves and hooks in the ladies toilet block near the sink could/would be useful. Very busy as it was a bank holiday, but the lady and gent who warden or own the site were very helpful and polite.
Good campsite, with good walks from it but these are overgrown due to lack of use and it’s a shame as it was a nice walk through the woods.
Would highly recommend the site though, even though it was next to a reasonably busy road it was quiet and peaceful. If I’m in the area again I would use this site again

Just going off to this site again. It’s a great back to basics site. Easy access to places of interest but equally good to stay local. Walk, pubs, site.
Visited last Aug bank holiday. Was busy but still lots of space for children to play. Good family site unless you want mod cons around you.
Owners serviced toilet block throughout the day. True camping with a few added facilities like shower and washing up area. Price reflects facilities so good value.
Nice to find a basic site and the owner’s care about natural surroundings. Pitches unmarked. Toilet block in woods using soak away. Elsan available.

For a back to basics site this was amazing. The owners have made an effort to keep the site as natural as possible but added a few luxuries such as free showers and washing up facility. All lights run on solar which was well thought out and the hot water used solar to ignite boiler and bottle gas to keep the flame.
The toilet block was adequate - better than one toilet. Included sinks and shower. For a back to basics site there was more here than expected.
The open site had plenty of room for the children to play and the owner ensures that this is maintained even in peak times.

We booked this site a couple of months ago for an extended family gathering over the Bank Holiday on the basis of its relaxed attitude to arrival/departure times and group pitches, and in this respect we were not disappointed.
However, in the couple of weeks between being asked for our CCC membership number and our arrival, this site apparently ceased to be a CCC Certificated Site (5 caravans and 10 tents) and we were informed that 45 units were booked in for the weekend!
The owner's proclaimed ethos of 'back to nature' camping is fine but is incompatible with such large numbers and unfortunately neither the infrastructure nor the already dire facilities (2 toilets, 1 washbasin and 1 shower, without a door, per sex) could cope. More dustbins/recycling bins appeared over the course of Saturday but were already full to bursting by the evening. The 2 sink/1 tap washing up area was a joke with so many people and the lighting not adequate to see what you were doing.
Instructions/tools are also needed for use of the CDP, which is covered with wire mesh, presumably to prevent leaves from getting in. We found that instead of moving the mesh, people had simply emptied the contents of their cassette through it - I will spare you any more details!
Finally, we also found there to be a lot of road noise, both from the road outside the gate and from the M40 at the bottom of the hill, not forgetting of course the sound of the neighbouring clay pigeon shoot from mid-afternoon until dusk on the day of our arrival.

Was a great site. Shower was good. Dish washing facilities not yet installed. Toilets just been painted and painting exterior of block was in progress. Grass was different heights around the site and we could choose where to pitch which was great. Children's play area was being cleared while we were there but couldn't really see a need for it as plenty of room for kids to play where they could be seen.
Lovely woods with wildlife and buzzards flying. Lots of walks accessible around the area. Helpful owner who is considering use of a warden on site.
I will Definitely go again. They are Looking at ways to install a few hook ups. No electric near site. Toilet block run on solar with gas for boiler for hot water. Very clever. Looking forward to seeing their progress.
Four pubs walkable. Two via road and two across fields. All do food. Small village a 5 min drive has shops, butcher, pubs, take away. Stratford 15 minute drive. Leamington spa lovely and Oxford 15 minutes by train from Banbury. If the wind was from the north we could hear motorway.
Great relaxed feel.
