Having already visited this lovely campsite earlier this trip, we returned for another 6 nights after Armel let us know he had a pitch available.
It was quite a different experience to be here in late July, as opposed to early June; the campsite was absolutely full.
We had to go with the only pitch available, which we found had a tree in the middle, so not ideal. We couldn't work out why we had such a tiny pitch in an avenue of much larger ones, then realised our neighbours had pitched some 3m across the pitch boundary (there were no hedges on these pitches, just shrubs front and back, so a bit confusing.
Since we'd managed to squeeze on, and since our neighbours were a pleasant and chatty French family of 3 generations holidaying together, and since were only going to be there for 6 nights, we decided to just let it go. It felt strange to be so very close to our neighbours after our other experiences at this campsite, but it was high season after all.
Despite the site being busy, the sanitary blocks were kept as clean as ever. We used the free WiFi in the bar area and enjoyed some nice meals and drinks, all reasonably priced. Staff were busy but always had a smile and were courteous and helpful.
Once again we had a great time here and it remains one of our all-time favourite campsites in France.
We will return.

Lovely site, very clean with electric on pitches. Good location but you need bikes or a car to get around. Close to supermarket and fuel. Booked for 5 nights stayed for 9.
Restaurant on site and bar, reasonably priced. Sanitary facilities were excellent very clean and tidy.
The site is next to the river which they really should take more advantage of by making it more accessible for swimming etc also they should allow dogs to paddle and cool off especially at 30 degrees.
We walked down the adjacent track to access the river for a swim and let the dog have a paddle. Owners were always visible and accessible. Staff were very good. All in all we would recommend.
Lovely area and some fantastic views especially near the Le Pont d'Arc which is around 3 to 4 km away

Another relaxing stay at this lovely campsite.
Armel and his family always extend a warm and friendly welcome and are friendly and helpful.
They keep the place beautifully clean and tidy. The sanitary blocks, though dated, are always spotless.
This is a nice place to relax, with the best river access we've found along the Ardèche.
My one criticism is that the beach area is now compacted ground rather than sand. Possibly the result of winter flooding?
At €19 per night (on ACSI) it's still our favourite site in the area.

We were originally booked in for 2 weeks as it sounded lovely and had good reviews however it just wasn't for us,
It was clean friendly staff, nice bar area where we had a drink whilst waiting for a takeaway pizza,
It was a very French site with most guests being elderly,
The beach area was a bit disappointing (estate agent photos)
On the first night the owner knocked on our awning to tell us to be quiet, we were playing cards with subtle music on in the background which couldn't be heard from the next pitch because I checked on the way back from the toilet, he again did the rounds at 10:45 the night, however nobody complained about people having breakfast and hoovering at 7:30 in the morning, anyhow we decided to move on the next day

This is one of our favourite sites in France and we've visited many times. It's a family-run site, situated amidst their own vineyards. Armel, his brother and family are the nicest, most helpful people you could meet and they work very hard to keep their lovely campsite in good order, to ensure you enjoy your stay. We love it here.
The Ardèche River runs along the bottom of the site, where there's a grassed area with parasols, trees and a 'beach' (though this is more compacted earth/sand than conventional beach). There's fabulous access to the river, which is just fantastic for swimming, canoeing etc. You can stand up in the middle of the river here and the bottom is a mixture of sand and rocks.
There's an excellent bar / restaurant on site and good laundry facilities (jeton from reception). There are 2 sanitary blocks, both kept very clean. Showers have adjustable temperature.
The pool area is very nice and there's a 'bubble wall' (why?), a paddling pool and a couple of rather tame slides (yes, we've been on them!). All very sedate.
When assessing a 'favourite' site, I include location, facilities, site maintenance, management and price. This site has it all.
Big thanks to Armel and Co for all the good work! ❤️

Stayed here for just over a week, last week in June, ACSI 15 Euro per night 2 persons and electricity (6amp) This site is about a mile out of Vallon and is situated by the River. All the pitches are of a very good size and separated by shrubs and small bushes. Its very well kept and the facilities are very clean. The owners are extremely friendly, they have a bar and a restaurant on site and a small takeaway selling frites, pizza burgers etc. The pool is lovely with a jacuzzi wall at one end and a separate kiddies pool, they have very strict pool rules and someone is there to watch you all the time just in case you forget to shower before you get in or you don't have proper trunks on etc, they have a good play area, pool table, table tennis, machines etc, also a bouncy castle.
The beach isnt really a beach its just a stretch of compact sand between the camping pitches and the river, and the river shelves quite deeply, good for teenagers as they have a diving platform out in the river which is quite deep at this point. Not sure if they drag this area in the summer though to give proper sand or not. We loved the site, it was quiet, hardly any British around.
Locally theres lots to see and do but you need to drive. You can cycle down to Vallon, quiet road for half a mile then a track or cycle path on main road. I did not like the place (my opinion only) it was very touristy with cheap and nasty shops only went there the first night.
They are very big on recycling on site and have a bin for just about everything, including scraps of salad (compost bin) bread, and they only have 6amp electric, I presume its because of the eco friendly thing, solar lights on all the trees in the camping avenues but no street lights. You can use a hardryer or an iron in the ladies toilets. Microwave will blow the electric and you have to get the man from reception to re connect you. I would go again as we had a lovely relaxing holiday there.
