 Idyllic site position, absolutely beautiful.

We found the owners sort of friendly, couldn't quite weigh them up. (This may be an accent issue, where demeanour can be misinterpreted) although of the three the younger man was very chatty and pleasant. We had a very good evening meal at the site restaurant/bar. We had intended to stay 4 nights but after discussion we decided to leave after one night, the decision being purely based on the logistics ofshopping and travelling time to our destination. Being in a motorhome we are accustomed to walking or cycling for shopping, and had we realised this would be difficult we may have stocked up more sensibly. Our decision was met with a little sort of disbelief. The tranquillity and idyllic position were the plus points, together with the maintenance and aesthetics of the pitches, the only noise being lovely birdsong. The small swimming pool was not heated as 'it's not really worth it for one or two people' maybe could have been put a little differently The toilet and shower facilities, whilst acceptable were very limited and dated and could have done with a thorough spring clean, considering June is the beginning not the end of the season. The nearest shopping is 6km, and 8 for a sizeable supermarket. We thought the situation and tranquillity were superb. Many pitches, all hedge marked and very well kept, faced the river and the site is genuinely on the river, not just near to it. This site has an ACSI badge but is apparently, according to the owner, not now an ACSI listed site. However we paid 15€ for 1 night including tourist tax, so comparable in price.

Beautiful tranquil spot alongside the river lot, ideal if you just want to get away from it all. This quite a small site with level pitches, some by the river.

The Dutch owner is very helpful, there is a small swimming pool, a bar where you can get light snacks and walks along the river bank. When we were there in high season you could swim in the river but I imagine it may be too dangerous after heavy rain.

The showers and toilets were clean, as was the whole site.
