Cracking pub
Nice food
Just beware if over 7m it's a very tight squeeze into carpark which leads into site. We are 7.4m and only just managed it
Food was excellent and so was the beer
Dog friendly also
Toilets can be used when pub open and has a fresh water tap

We booked by phone to stay for a couple of nights at the Castle Arms Inn camp site from the 10th June 2014. We reported to the hotel and met the very friendly owners, Ian and Lisa. The camp site is a lovely small five van field with freshly cut grass at the back of the Castle Arms Inn in the lovely village of Snape. We were visiting friends who were staying in the village. The site is in a very peaceful and quiet spot and we enjoyed watching a game of Quoits being played at the end of the field. With our friends, the four of us had a lovely meal in the pub, the wifes Salmon dish was superb and our steak pies were spot on with proper chips and fresh veg. One of our friends is wheelchair bound and the pub has good access for her, and their dog was made welcome. This site is a good base for touring this lovely area, Masham and Leyburn among many other places of interest within easy reach by car. Ian and Lisa have only recently taken over running the hotel and the campsite and we would go back again. There is no electric hook-up available on this site and we did not miss not having it although we think that it would be a great addition to the basic site facilities.

Fairly small but very pleasant field. No electric but good water and toilet disposal. Great location: couple of miles from Bedale and handy for Masham and the Dales.
The best thing about it is the pub: great local with very friendly staff and customers.
The food is brilliant! Good for bar food and full meals: the 2 courses for £12 are exceptional value for such high quality.
The real ale is always in great condition too, and there is a good selection of wines.
Next to the pub is Carricks, a fruit veg and fish wholesaler. They sell lovely fruit and veg and have a tempting deli: access from the campsite.

A great find - a site I'll be going back to.
Location:
Well located CL site behind a fantastic pub. Bedale's a nice town and an easy drive. Ecellent base for exploring North Yoirkshire.
Facilities:
Facilities are limited to pub toilets, but this is a great, basic site. The camping area is kept in brilliant condition and the pub sells delightful food. Great staff in the bar provide excellent service.
Prices:
A bargain - £6 per vehicle per night.
Will certainly go back to this site!
